As a relative newcomer to this game, I missed the boat on Shattered Empires. It is currently listed as out of print with no indication of it being in the process of getting a reprint. None of my local game stores have a copy on hand either. Does FFG typically reprint expansions like this one, or should I start searching online for a copy?

Usually they announce reprints on the Upcoming section, I don't know if there is any plan to reprint SE in the near future, but I think you can still find some copy in local shops.

I got mine this november or something together with the core set, it was no problem to get hold of one then

It is a must have I think, much better rules and so on, so very much worth it.

SE is listed as being reprinted on the Upcoming page. The icon int he corner is (I think) the "in development" one. Not sure exactly what that means for a reprint. Maybe it's on the list but reprinting hasn't started yet? It's been there since late November '09.

If you can find a copy for a decent price online I'd say grab it, but don't spend $200 on ebay for an "out of print" game. It will be getting reprinted.

My store in town got another TI3 in stock in about 2 days after selling a box. But SE they are still waiting for. It's on backorder. Should arrive as soon as printing starts up and orders get filled.

I have looked on the internet for the expansion and found one place that had it in stock. They want $170!! I am wondering if and when they will reprint. I have wanted TI3 for a long time and finally am ready to buy, but now the expansion can't be found. I wanted to get both base and expansion together after reading about what the expansion adds to the game. Maybe I will have to search non local game stores for copy.
