Is anyone else disappointed that each day is (again) a cut to top two? If they instead cut each day to top 4 and followed with the final top 8 playing three rounds of single elimination (or even Swiss), I think it would be a better sorting of the top players and a more exciting tournament overall.

Yup. It feels like we say this every year and every year they don't listen.

I do agree with this, but you do have to take into consideration that there is a schedule to be kept and maybe they cant make it work due to scheduling.

They’ve done it differently almost every year. I don’t mind small cuts when there are a lot of rounds.

about the gear I saw was gencon two years ago. Two flights, with top 8 cut to day two for two more rounds, then playoff for the top two. That felt pretty fair at the time.

everyone getting five games last year at worlds felt good, as I’m not sure what a larger cut would have proved at the time. At some point you run out of time to play the games for the event. Not to mention the exhaustion one feels from playing a bunch of games.
