Absolutely LOVE this squad. No offense but I am totally "borrowing" this idea. I have seen a shop on shapeways that sells Legion scale AT-AT driver heads. An FYI for your love of pilots.

Thanks for the inspiration and keep posting.

Thank you. Yes I found the shop on Shapeways. It is Buckethead Bits. Going to have to pick up 2 new squads of scouts now! One to custom as AT-AT Drivers and one for the Patrol Trooper helmets they sell to make a squad from the brief scene in the "Solo" movie.

Thanks alot @BucketheadBits!!!

Here is my Emperor Palpatine and his Royal Guards.

I chose to mix things up and give one set a custom look.

Palpy has that 80's Kenner Mail-In figure look

Her is my RotJ movie accurate squad

Flat and Satin reds and a simple maroon for these guys. Sorry for the lighting.

These are my "Custom" Royal Guards

Two based on the Dark Horse Comic and two given a paint scheme that is a mash-up of the the Prequel Trilogy/Clone Wars Series.

Hard to tell but there are actually 4 shades of blue on these guys.

Nice expanded universe customs. I read in another thread how you created a gaming community for kids with special needs. You are doing a great thing and i wanted to let you know. Hopefully FFG will hear about what you are doing and maybe offer the children some tournament items. I will PM you cause I would like to know more.

Thank you for your kind words. I actually got into this hobby with Imperial Assault after a long hiatus from gaming and painting. (WEG Star Wars) We fell in love with the game as a family and eventually the kids asked to bring IA to Family Fun Day at school. The colorful puzzle pieces and the tiny little "action figures" caught everyones attention. Almost everyone wanted to play.

I went home that night and decided that I needed to work out a system that was quick to teach and would not discourage anyone from playing. On the next Famly Fun Day, I brought all the expansions and miniatures and set up multiple tables. With simplified rules and similarly built tables it was easy to teach and get the children playing. I loved it. I decided to purchase a complete second collection (core set and boxed expansions) so that everyone could try to use the characters they wanted instead of just getting who is left. It became the most popular thing to do at Family Fun Days. I began to create 3D tables for the kids to play on making homemade terrain and then Legion was announced and my mind went into overdrive. All of these beautiful 3D printed terrain companies started popping up and Imperial Terrain was nice enough to sell us misprints at a great price. (battle damaged terrain) A huge Thank You to Dave and his wife at Imperial Terrain.

Imperial Assault brought the children together as a small gaming community even some who were extremely socially challenged. Star Wars got them to put down the smart phones and smart devices and take a trip to help shape a galaxy far, far away. That has continued with Legion and I am proud to have brought them together, and a new group of Star Wars fans is always a great thing.

@Baron Administrator thanks for your interest and thank you for your generosity. The children will greatly appreciate it.

Thank you. I love seeing what other members of the community share and I am sometimes inspired by what I see. I really like out of the box paint schemes and custom miniatures. I show my stuff, not for a pat on the back, but in hopes that others might be inspired to do something they weren't sure about or to find that something they were looking for. As always if you couldn't tell Kenner/Hasbro has been my inspiration. I try to get the colors as movie/action figure accurate as possible.

As a newbie to painting miniatures, it is a great encouragement to see people showcase their work simply because they enjoy the hobby. While I marvel at how well people can paint at the professional level, I understand that level of skill takes years of dedicated practice. That said, seeing people try new things in painting and have such enthusiasm for the hobby encourage me to keep practicing!
