Hello Friends of the Internet and peep of the pew pew pew,
I wanted to ask if a new core set came out what would you want to be in it and/or would you want one for each faction?
Happy Friday.

Edited by CubanboyPersonally I would want a core set that comes with plastic templates and super cool tokens.
No, we already have two. No need for a third.
It'd have to have the updated T-65 with moving wings and all that new jazz.
Probably some good ol tie fighters, maybe with a title that helps formations (the resistance bomber formation title would be killer on ties)
Maybe some Scum cardboard to convert the Tie and X or just a new ship that was parks for all three factions.
i just want the three factions to have more representation and for the ships to be evenly matched
Before the TLJ came out, I was sure we were gonna get a Silencer + 2 Resistance A-Wing box.
It would have been fun to see the classic trope reversed.
But instead of a new core set, I'd like X-Wing 2.0, with a starter box for each faction
Inside the box, there would be new cardboard for everything, and it would come with an official app, that would be used for squadbuilding. Anything not on the table, would be replaced digitally.
I don't even want ships in it. (Although, they wouldn't hurt)
Def need an updated t-65 so you don't have to go hunting around for your **** fix cards
Might as well introduce the TIE Fighter fix too
Be real evil to make people buy four cores to outfit their swarm though...
One with ships that actually shoot
I want a Clone Wars core set which adds Republic and Separatists factions with 2 Vulture Droids and a Jedi Starfighter.
screw the aethersprite
MORE ARCS

And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I think it would be great if the Starter Sets were reinvented to be faction specific.
Better yet, the Core Set should include enough ships to play a 100 point game out of the box: 3 X-Wings + 3 Defenders could work well.
And even better still, I'm with @DXCrazytrain . . .I want the next Core Set to introduce the Prequels. Then we have one for each era.
Lol, ok that was good.

I am so down for this, we have a bunch of locals here just waiting for 2.0 to happen

Well they can keep waiting.

Remplace the jedi starfighter by a Arc-170 or a V-19 torrent and I take more starter than they can imagine

I'm not against a starter with a 100 pts you can build but they will never do that because they need to sell ship.
A starter with a 60 pts squadron with more upgrade card would be much more cool !
If they did an overhaul 2.0 (so really more of an 1.5) Id like to have a bigger starter set. The 3 ship version was for the very simple uncluttered game that no longer exists. So 5 ships plus cards.
Something like 1x 1y vs 2ties 1striker
Happy Friday to everyone!
I was thinking about this question last week. I would like to have Scum and Villainy Core Set because nowadays, if you want to only play Scum and Villainy, you "have to buy" all three factions to get templates, damage deck and dice.
I would keep the way of having one X-wing equivalent and two TIE equivalents. In scum measures I would go for Khirazx and 2 Scyks with emphasis that they are from different Scum factions (Black Sun vs Cartel or Bounty Hunter vs Criminals). Of course with new pilots and illicit upgrades and so on.
That would be awesome!
I would love to see you clone wars era stuff more arcs V wings v19 Republic gunships maybe even some Droid ships.

I would prefer to keep my ships, tokens, bases and just get new cards that made everything simplier, less text across hundreds of cards added theme to freighters and bombers and game factions back their own identities.
Clone Wars core set. I'd say let's shake things up a bit, and have it include two V-19s or V-Wings, and three Vulture Droids.
So I am going to go out and say something a bit more crazy: I think there should be 3 new boxes, each called a starter box. One for each faction with iconic ships in each.
The rebel box would have an X-Wing, Y-Wing, A-Wing, and B-Wing with all of the fixes and trappings that make these guys the best possible. All titles, mods, etc.
The imperial box would have 2 TIE Fighters, an Interceptor, a Bomber, and an Advance again with all of the fixes and bells and whistles.
The Scum Box would be a little tougher given there aren't as many iconic ships. I'd go with possible two large base ships, maybe the IG-2000 and the YV-666 or you could go with Protectorate, Starviper, Khiraxz, and M3a.
Each box would include the standard box set trappings but they would sell for $60-$70 a piece.

There is no more iconic scum ship then Firespray-31
Happy Friday!
A new core box... hmmm. I'd think since the game is "x-wing", you'd probably want a 3 player box so that it can include an x-wing, two TIE fighters, and maybe one scum ship like a G1a so that a fix could be included. It could have mission or two like the Scum 3-player missions!
On 2nd thought, a firespray is probably exactly the right answer for an iconic scum ship.

This!
However if they keep with the standard and avoid Clone Wars then at least a new some cool app-driven gameplay story mode would be sweet.
I'd probably go for a tri-faction core set. One ship for each faction with an assortment of upgrades to benefit the different ships. The exact ships, I'm not sure about. Off the top of my head, I'd go with the TIE Advanced, the T-65 X-Wing, and a Fang Fighter. All fix items for the ships included.
edit: Whoops, nearly forgot. Happy Friday!
