Game mat logo?

By DwainDibbly, in Star Wars: Legion

Just looking at the desert game mat , is that star wars logo actually on the mat itself? Or is it just a watermark on the sales images?

I've seen a few other companies with mats that have logos and also a few that are without logos other than on their marketing material. As I find logos on a game mat very tacky and won't buy one with it on, I wanted to check before I consider the official mats.

They appear to be an actual mark on the mat itself.

It's hardly the only thing wrong with them, though.

yeah in this image you can see it's on both mats:

If these were just desert, with the occasional small rock and the footprints. As well as the jedi logo and some dusted over tiles. but nothing that you'd expect to actually have any height to. that's silly.

The star wars logo is on the mat. They are useful in telling how to align the mats.

Oh well, good to know at least. DIY it is.

I want logos on my terrain about as much as I want them on my models :)

Cheers everyone.

The mats are sooo busy the logos are hardly noticeable.

I had to look really carefully to spot them lol.

Not a fan of the mats honestly. If I was going to buy an ffg game mat for Legion I’d go with the Runewars grassy ones that are minimally busy and things we’d expect to be flat.

If the logo was huge and in the center of the mat, I'd probably agree. But it's fairly small and in a corner that you're probably not going to spend much time looking at. You could always plop a piece of terrain down over it too. ? All that printed terrain on it is the real problem, in my opinion.

I agree with ScummyRebel and think I will pick up a couple of the Runewars grassy field mats.

if you're considering these but hate the logos, you can always stick a building or some other terrain on those spots and cover them up.
