The Core book states, "This maneuver only works if the ship or vehicle has defense that can be reassigned, as with deflector shields."

Is this usually mentioned in the ship description? Are there other types of shields that can be reassigned other than deflector shields?

Some vehicles have defence dice but don't mention shields- they say 'It has very strong armour to the front' in the text, and the stat block has front defence 1. That's it, though. There's no proper codified 'This vehicle does/doesn't have shields'.

All vehicles piloted by someone with the Defensive Driving talent have Defense that can't be reassigned.
