As the title says... "What are the visual difference between Laser/Blaster/Ion Cannon?"

So far, on the internet, the only thing I could find is that there isn't anything visually to distinct them from one another

Even some says that the Blasters is a group of weapon that includes Laser Cannon ... which doesn't work in EotE as there are Laser and Blaster cannon mounted on vehicles

Well look at the ion cannon shots in empire. the laser cannons are green or orangy red. the ion is whitish blue

Blasters are Red. Or blue in the Clone Wars...

The planatary Ion cannon fired by Echo base was red with a whitish core

I guess it is more about your instinct of what the weapon looks like....

Ion Cannon (Need some sort of generator, gun with compressed tube) and Blaster Cannon (mounted on AT-AT and Incom Lanspeeder...big tube) seem more complexes as the Laser cannon may be the simplest gun you can find...

Could be hard to represent each one of them on pictures....but will give it a try... (light, heavy, etc)

Haven't gotten to Turbo laser Battery yet...guess they are in another book...

There aren't any. Short story, there are so many makes, models, and designs of each that they only share the most common of features.

It's a colloquialism typically about power output. Lasers cannons and blaster cannons technically work the same, but under a certain power output it's referred to as a blaster cannon.

Kinda like how light machine guns, heavy machine guns, and auto cannons are all more or less the same thing.

Given the conflicting depictions in the various source material, I've mostly just gone with the colour descriptions from the old X-Wing games; lasers are red, blasters are also red but with shorter "bolts" and a higher rate of fire (Slave 1 vs. Obi-Wan in the asteroid ring in Attack of the Clones) while ion cannons are blue. Imperial turbolasers are green, while Alliance turbolasers are red.

Whatever you want the difference to be, or none at all. It doesn't matter a single bit for the purposes of the story.

Makes it hard to put pictures for the weapon upgrades for the cards I'm making ..... but I'll manage
