Or throw on Expertise and swap one of the free mods for hull upgrade and join Hobbie in playing baby-TIE-Defenders...

I have found I prefer PTL. He gets immediately stressed and can try to remove it. If he takes damage it puts a hit on his hull through shields. That's good because R5-D8 can remove it. If Porkins uses PTL (or does it after a red move), there is only an 11% chance he takes a damage and it's still there at the end of his actions.

I guess counter point could be that Porkins can now do Tallon Rolls and can remove the stress from it...and still have modifications. Even if he takes a hit he can use his action to clear it. It wasn't so feasible before with just a K-turn. It means his special ability is only useful with red moves, though. Well, that and stress inducers.

I absolutely LOVE this new expansion, IMHO it is the best expansion we have had in a long time, with that being said, I just thought I would leave this here.

#1 looks like the U-Wing forgot their blue target lock token

#2 look how massive that Reaper is

Gotta justify that large ship price tag with a large ship model

If I'm not mistaken, it looks like there's one card left hidden. Perhaps an elite card. It's next to Crackshot and has the shape of a B-Wing on it. Curious.

One upgrade card (2 of the same card), a U-Wing Pilot and an X-Wing pilot. This has been a wacky release.

P.S. Also, there is a 4th U-Wing, but most likely it is generic, but we can hope it is K-2SO. (They always come in pairs due to cardboard.)

highly doubtful it's generic

just about every large ship release is 1 generic, 3 named. Even Heroes of the Resistance maintained this (sympathizer, chewie, rey, han) when packaging the ship with Poe and Jess

but it most likely means a PS 3 K2so (or whatever disappointment we get instead) as Saw and 2-2ubes mirror Cassian and Bodhi ps

the generic will either be another blue squaddie pathfinder, or (more likely) a ps 1 renegade of some description

The third pilot we can see is pretty clearly Magva Yarro though.

I can't see **** because my eyes suck

So "whatever disappointment" it is

Squad Builders need updating...ackkkkkkkkk the wait!

Aurora has the new stuff, though the refit doesn't subtract the elite point yet. Not sure if Aurora is Apple-only or not either.

Supposedly the other X-Wing is Edrio Two Tubes, eggmate of Benthic.

I could see them doing 4 named pilots for a set like this though.

If you want to try out the new stuff, you can do it on the Fly Casual X-wing simulator.

I've found myself not using the closed S-foils outside of the first round. The crew are bananas, and using the Targeting Scrambler has its moments.

I have been toying with the fly casual sim too, mostly the x wings, from my limited xp I can say that I do tend to close the wings when out of position, so instead of doing a bad K-turn /t-roll I just bug out and reengage (more often with r2d2 luke).

Think the Reaper Article will be up on Monday? The day before the World's presentation?

I think it will be a lot of build up to very little.

Pessimistic, I know, but I can't imagine anything that would be worthy of what probably amounts to "Here's our SW product lines for quarters 2, 3 and 4"

From the article:

A Closer Look at Upcoming Star Wars Products

On May 1st at 12:00 P.M. Central Time, we’ll be holding the Star Wars Hyperspace Report at the Fantasy Flight Games Center—a very special presentation to give you a look ahead at some of our upcoming Star Wars products.

Again, I think it is generic, but I really really hope it is K-2SO. That being said, I don't think it will be a Blue Squadron Pathfinder. (If that was the case they would have put Red Squadron Rookies for the X-Wings.) If it is a point cheaper PS1 generic or a PS3 generic with an Elite I will be happy.

2-Tubes has proven that the preview fan image is incorrect, the fact that the fan currently has 5 generic x-wing pilots, 4 s-foils (split into 2 locations in the fan) 3 Refits as well as only 3 small base tiles means that there is info missing or blanked out for a reason.

I'm almost certain that there's only going to be 3 generic x-wing PS1 pilots, 3 s-foils and 3 refits, the 4th s-foils in the fan not with the other s-foils I feel is a K2so crew card, or at least I hope it is with the remaining 2 ps1 x-wing pilot cards in the top row actually 2-tubes and a generic U-wing.

The last time they had a similar presentation at Worlds, they announced AGOT 2.0 and rotation for the LCGs.

Most likely it will be the replacement SW LCG.

How delicious would be the tears if they announced rotation in xwing? I mean the xwing is reprinted now so legal, no one uses swarms so wave 1 2 and 3 stuff is pretty much dead without powercreep adds, instead of fixing we’ll sweep it under the rug until we bring it back. How much would really change other than dead stuff officially being dead? It makes a kind of sense really. If you’re gonna make it a deck building game go all in.

So I've been daydreaming about this and the one thing I honestly wish FFG announces is that there will be a "2.0" that is basically Clone wars Era, but still would use the same templates, tokens, etc. and be "X-wing Adjacent" if that makes sense.

X-wing 1.0 and tournaments etc. could continue to be supported, but 2.0 would have more balance and points refinement (i.e. 200 points in 2.0 ='s 100 points in 1.0) and have it's own tourneys.
"Problem" upgrade cards in 1.0 would be adjusted in 2.0 like, let's say Blaster Turret or R5-X3 (stupid droid).

Setting 2.0 in another era would be my solution to have people want to invest in new ships with new cards. You could even bring in 1.0 ships with 2.0 cards for casual games/events.

I know we're not getting anything like this but... the Force works in mysterious ways.

Hey! I totally called that! Yay me!

This thing is a monster... it’s doing what I dreamed. This thing is the first legit forward squad commander unit we’ve had. Running this thing and a TIE swarm will be a blast.

And I’m thrilled that while the T65 X-Wing changes are a blatant power up, that this unit is a little bit more subtle buff machine.

FFG has shown some creativity and added gameplay depth instead of MOAR guns and such. So fitting that this came in a Rogue One expansion: the one movie that seemed to be more historical fiction than bizarre fantasy K-pop cartoonish action.

I’m applauding this release

Edit: and I’m thrilled if it nets mediocre. We need nice, thoughtful releases that add choices and variety and character... not meta changing power ups (which this still could be). I’d rather just see more releases like this to tell the truth, but the X-Wing one was needed.
