The spoil of Two-Tubes gives me hope that the other side of his cardboard is going to be K2S0!

So another X-Wing and U-Wing pilot are out there. At least one of each.

One is Magva, it seems. So if there is a generic U-wing, no K2SO /(

Are you kidding me? (In a good way)

Saw + SOT + Hera + Ezra + Renegade Refit + FCS + APL + Ion Projector...

I hope those Squad Builders are updated soon!

Or Engine Upgrade and Auto Thrusters. I don't know if 6 points is worth Autothrusters though.

But that does knock $30 total off the cost of the list, down from $255 to $225 (or from $51/X-Wing to $47/X-Wing).

Totally acceptable!

Excited about the X-Wing stuff!

Wonder if it will be about in line with the Kihraxz Fighter.

5x T65s seem good.

These two cards scare me though.

Magva on my Ghost with Synced Turret hahaha.

or Saw on the ARC with R2

If you fit Saw's into a squad with Rau and Ptl Norra, well that's just peak synergy

Not sure how it'd hold up next to the reliable durability Low brings, but it's at least not an utter joke at first glance

Waiting for Yet Another Squad Builder to add the new goodies like

tenor.gif?itemid=5178946

Saw (26)
*Refit (-2)
**Wired (1 - 1 = 0)
*Hera (1)
*Ezra (3)
*Pivot (0)
*Col detector (0)

= [28]...huh that seems really good

Rau (20)
*vi (1)
*hotshot (4)
*r3-a2 (2)

= [27]

Norra (29)
*Ptl (3)
*C3po (3)
*r2d2 (4)
*title (0)
*vectored (2)
= [41]

still 4 points to burn :o

Looking forward to having three doorstops U-Wings soon!

Finally, it gives Hobbies a couple more options with a Targeting Astromech!

Surely you have a box full of Proton Torpedoes sitting nearby? Toss one on Norra :)

Assuming the PS1 X-Wings are 20 points... You can get 5 of them with Servos, Targeting Astro, Refit, Integrated.

CRAZY THOUGHT -> What if the PS1 ships have an EPT and are 21 points? 5 with Crack Shot, Servos, Refit, Flight Assist, Integrated. I mean probably not, but there's a Crack Shot in the box so......... :D :D

By giving up it's Torpedo slot, sure ;)

Sadly, nope. See my above post (probably posted while you were typing!)

Still hoping for an oversight and special rule for this card. The picking sides during deployment t for this card is not ideal, defaulting it to S-Foils closed and allowing autothrusters to be used this way would be rather cool.

Is it just me, or does Vader feel a little less special now:

Vader is a straight crit, Saw only works on focus (i.e. if you roll hits, they don't get converted). You still have to hit with Saw so Soontir Fel can dodge Saw but still gets whacked by Vader.

Especially considering there is no title for the T-65. I guess everything in this expansion plus a torpedo was too much.... They had the draw the line of the buff somewhere.

Maybe but is there really a Torpedo that's really powerful? I don't see the T-65 with a TITLE plus a Torp being over powered.

It might also be so that they can add titles later if they feel the need.

I was being slightly sarcastic. But maybe the combo of two of these three: IA/Guidance Chips/Munitions Failsafe is a little much. The upgrade being a title would have made that possible.

So the Renegade Refit gets you two mod slots. If you take the S-Foils mod, can you also add Autothrusters with your second mod?

Does Autothusters only trigger when you have the "Closed" side up?

No you can't. Dual cards are only set when the ship is placed in setup, they do nothing during listbuilding except cost points (or not in this case).

Yea, only 20pts. But $51 per X-Wing, since that list would cost $255 in Saw's Renegades (x2), T-65s (x3), T-70s x5 (Integrated Astro), and Sheathipedes x5 (Flight Assists).  ... ... ... :(

Or you could, you know, go to E Bay and buy the insividual cards after proxying them to see just how good they are in play?

I mean frankly this kills torpedoes for the T-65, even more so than the missile slot on A-wings. It now effectively costs 7 points and a mod slot to equip proton torpedoes on Luke Skywalker for his trench run.

That bit of fluff is the only real downside for me. I don't mind that a wave 1 core ship needs a ton of cards to be viable; you can still start players out on a bare bones T-65 like God intended, then introduce the more complicated stuff once they've got the hang of the game as you would with any other ships with more complicated mechanics.

I'm really excited for this. Wedge can be a 28 point PS11 pocket ace. Five crazy barrel rolling X-wings is a thing that is possible. I can (almost certainly) fit in a pair of X-wings alongside Expertise Rey. We might even get some Luke sightings!

Alright, a slightly practical analysis

trying to put the X fix in practical terms is difficult because of the silliness servos brings to the game

but let's just assume they're better on higher PS pilots (because you get to sloop/troll on a whim, though you're better off trolling because if you're set to sloop you're losing a red die). Between them and FAA, you're probably going to see the presence of Xs heavily weighted to the higher PS pilots, which I suppose is standard at this point since not many ships are well designed enough for all their ps pilots to be relevant

anyway, the big thing we're going to see is that the slot for low 30s rebel "ace" is finally being filled by something other than Lowhrick

Wedge (29), refit (-2), Predator (2), FAA (1), servos + integrated (0) = 30 points

in practical terms, not much about Wedge has really changed. His mods are the same as always and while his maneuverability is improved by servos, it's harder to quantify on paper. Big thing here is he's 3 points less expensive

so it's difficult to get truly excited about because I played in an OT tournie not 3 days ago, where I saw X-wings getting absolutely mulched by everything from fat han to my own unguided bombers. This fix does not augment their mods with any increased durability, as I hoped it would (turns out the evade in the box is for the ps 5). If it had, I believe Xs could have become top tier competitive

As is now, it's obviously difficult to see how good they really are (difficult in judging servos, but I'm definitely not weighing them too heavily because turrets exist and don't care about your maneuvering) but we can boil it all down to roughly -3 points (or -2 points in Tarn's case)

which means they're...eh. They're the same, sort of lame x-wings we've always known but you won't be shooting yourself in the foot by taking them.

That's my guess, anyway

Now, what'll probably end up happening is we get @FTS Gecko leaping in with FIVE. ROOKIE. PILOTS! and putting my pessimistic outlook to shame by leveraging the maneuvering prowess of Servos + FAA to catch opponents in inescapable fields of fire (wherein my experience with 3 red dice + focus would result in approximately jack **** damage, but that's why I'm not a world's winner)

Do we know how much does the PS1 pilot cost?

No but most likely 19.

Good luck finding any Flight Assist Astromechs on Ebay. I've only seen a few, and always for ~$9 or more (so just a few bucks cheaper than the pack)
