Hi guys sorry if this has been asked before but couldnt find these anywhere in the book, just wanted to know a couple of things.

1. in character creation it says you cant upgrade characteristics using xp after cc, how do you up it after creation?

2. how do you gain addition force ratings? you start with rating 1, how do you then up that to get different force powers?

Check out some of the various talent trees.

In most of the trees there exists a talent called "Force Rating" which increases the force rating by 1. There is also a tent in most of those trees called "Dedication" which increases a chosen characteristic by 1.

You can purchase additional talent trees/specializations with XP. filling out those talents in those trees is one of the way to increase Force rating or characteristics.

Some cybernetics can also increase a characteristics. Some Force Powers and talents can also grant a temporary boost to characteristics.

1. the Dedication talent, located in almost, if not every spec tree. Also cybernetics can boost brawn, agility or intellect for credits. Also temporary boosts to brawn or agility through use of the Enhance power tree.

2. the Force Rating talent, located in most Force & Destiny spec trees, the exception being the spec trees that change the characteristic you use with the Lightsaber skill (a further exception to *that* rule being the Niman Disciple spec tree, which both changes your Lightsaber characteristic and provides a Force Rating talent).

Except those rare trees that have 2 force ratings in them, or which I believe there are three so far , the sage , seer , one from the seeker book which escapes me, and I reckon the Magus from unlimited power may be added to this, but if one career is going to add multiple double FR specs it's the mystic book.
