The only thing I have that has been released post-Wave 6 is the Force Awakens starter set. What are some of the new "must have" upgrades or some of the "newer" ships that you have enjoyed using since Wave 6 was released? I got my stuff out last night to teach my girlfriend how to play, and it made me curious about what cool stuff I have missed. I was never a competitive player, but what ships and upgrades are dominating the meta scene right now? If you could fill me in that would be great! Thank you!

If you're not super compeitive, though, don't worry too much about it. The meta only matters if you're playing in tournaments.

Heros of the Resistance is a must for the Rebels.
The Special Forces TIE and TIE Striker are a must for the Empire
Scum has a bit, they are a complete faction. But Guns for Hire and Shadow Caster are good choices.

Edit 1: The Ghost and the Sheathipede is the hot ship in the meta right now.

Edit 2: The gunboat always is a must.

Still see a bunch of thrusters and fcs

The biggest new things build off of Twin Laser Turret (esp Miranda doni), such as the Auzzie (Lowhrick), and the sheathipeed. The synergy between ships from the REBELS cartoon and an obscure EU pilot basically dominate the game atm

Advanced optics is the newest breakout tech upgrade (comes with the Silencer) that pairs well with practically every ship that can take it. The TIE Silencer and Quickdraw are great pressences in empire. Palp got errated but remains relevant

Scum had a ROLLER COASTER of nerfs after the release of the profoundly broken jumpmaster, and now finds itself the least broken faction.

Lonewolf asajj with double glitterstim stands on top as an impregnable tank (so long as stims last) and the SCURRG is the best jank ever

Debris gambit Sol Sixxa with ACTION bombs and Experimental interface. It is the best time

You missed me joining the game :-)

You also missed plenty of beautiful ships being added to the game, some really powerful, some rotated out very quickly. Some never saw big use. I am the biggest fan of G1 Starfighter, Quadjumper, Protectorate Starfighter and most importantly T-70 X-Wing.

I stopped by my local comic store and picked up a T-70 X-Wing and the Special Forces TIE Fighter yesterday. I am definitely excited to play again. Now, I just need to review the rules again to make sure I remember exactly how everything works.
