Stop Whining!

By Jiron, in X-Wing

There's not even any indication that it's going to have any x-wing products at all.

No, not from the announcement -- it's really not specific about anything.

Edited by AlexW

they'll announce the ships that fill out wave 14. I'm hoping for a falcon with scum pilots and a mobile firing arc, some new kick *** imperial stuff, maybe a rules revision of some sort.

Honestly be absolutely okay with just Saw's und Reaper as a wave

Then solo stuff as the next

If FFG didn't vomit up expansions at the rate they do, they might have time to actually watch their intake

Previews would be nice, though

Oompa Loompa doompadee doo
I've got another puzzle for you
Oompa Loompa doompadee dee
If you are wise you will listen to me
Who do you blame when your kid is a brat
Pampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat?
Blaming the kids is a lion of shame
You know exactly who's to blame:
The mother and the father!
Oompa Loompa doompadee dah
If you're not spoiled then you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Loompa doompadee do

Never heard of this mythical lion of shame before

He the cousin of the one from oz?

Am I the only one who saw the title as ‘Stop Winning’? I thought it was directed at Rebel Scum.

I'm just not sure what 'less maneuvering/more math' even means. From what I can tell that's not really changed much in several years, if indeed it ever truly was different.

I think there's some serious rose-tinted spectacles usage going on.

guessing you didnt play early waves.

early ships could only take a few upgrades each, and rarely had more than 3 total. the emphasis was on maneuvering and placement, not card interaction.

the manuevering not math = player skill not deck building

As if deck building could even be called that. It's more like deck-copying.

Once someone stops coming up with their own ideas for decks, it ceases to be fun. I have no intention in playing against the same deck over and over again. It's why I stopped playing card games.

Well, sort of. Tie swarms were the epitome of efficiency for a long time. A person still had to fly them well, of course, at at enemy ships.

yeah i still play MTG, but my group of friends has a rule... you win 3 games in a row with the same deck, that deck gets retired with honors and you make something else. unfortunately toxic tournament mentality rules that out

this is why limited formats (sealed and draft) exist and are, imo, far more fulfilling

of course there's always that one bull pack that comes pre-sealed with constructed level synergy, but that's rng for ya

Ever wondered why that is?Could it possibly be due to the direction the developers have chosen for the game?

It’s just how bored enthusiastic males experience their fandom. It’s universal.

Seriously folks! This forum is full of crap! Stop whining about this and that and rather play the game. Enjoy what you have. Tha game has it's issues, some more serious then others but it's all in the hands of developers. And it seems they balance the game as they see fit, ignoring the pleas from the community. And I don't blame them. Just face it like a man... or like Han Solo charging platoon of stormtroopers!

When I joined x-wing 2,5 years ago, this was one of my favourite places on the internet. Guides, theories, sharing of experience... this was amazing. We reffered to each other as "pilots" rather then nerds. With more math in the game and less maneuvering this forum have changed to the worse and with first FAQ rules update, the gates have opened to the floods of "community requests".

Just cut the crap and enjoy the game. I hate this air of negativity. It's not good for us, the pilots. And it also leads to the Dark Side.

It has long been held on this site that if enough of the fans post the issues they have and the ship/pilots that need changing (nerf or buff) that FFG may, in some cases while reading, make changes to the game.

So what you consider as whining, others may consider as your attempt to shut down a very productive resource for the betterment of the game.

Of course, I will say that with the game this forum has gone more negative. I don't attribute that to the players who post here, rather their attitude and feelings for the direction of the game.

From my experience, the dev changes occured only in case of absolute domination of certain combos. Also, from the plethora of suggested fixes, none of these have been used by the game designers. Who expected Deadey small ship only? Who expected Heavy Scyk to give one more hull?
