Its in the novel of The Empire Strikes Back, so it should be available everywhere at this point.

That was struck down because Hobbie is alive in the old Legends books. Unless Disney suddenly said “we will keep that novel but throw these others out”. That novelization and the Xwing books should be on equal standing as “legends” unless Disney is pulling a fast one.

ergo, until Disney tells me otherwise both Hobbie and Veers survived Hoth.

I stumbled across it on the Star Wars wiki. I wanted to learn more about Veers, surely he must have had an impressive career after Hoth and wasn’t at Endor because he commanded mechanized units.... and was hit with a double whammy. Apparently it’s from the “certain point of view” book that came out 4-5 months ago.
