Quick question for the campaign: for cards that instruct you to discard (like reinforced blasted doors), do you get them back for the next battle, if that ship is still alive?

Yes you do. Also if the enemy Darth Vader boarding trooper card hits one of your upgrades, it comes back next campaign round.
