I’ve been thinking about possible future expansions. I can see them releasing a Han (smuggler outfit) and Chewy as a special forces unit.

Thoughts?

He will be a commander. His abilities revolve around shooting and surviving being shot. He can basically shoot twice against different targets, reduces enemy cover by 1, increases his own cover by 1 and rerolls 3 of his own defensive dice.

Commandos seem to be the special forces version of han solo.

It would be interesting to have different versions of names minis. Either way, I think Chewy will be SF, but will be odd seeing him without Han.

I meant further down the line, when they release a Chewy, it’s my prediction that they’ll release a new version of Han along side him that’s a special forces unit.

I can’t imagine that they won’t do that. We need RotJ Luke!

I can see characters that aren't necessarily leaders to be either be an option that can be added to other units using the personnel slot, or just a single model special forces unit, or both. Chewie would definitely make a good "solo" unit (Not as in Han, but a single model. I'm stealing the terminology from another miniature game, though I'm pretty certain it won't be called that). I don't see Chewie as a commander. I mean what would his command cards read like? Another example would be Boba Fett. Definitely not a commander, though has been known to support Imperial troops from time to time, but can hold his own by himself.

Yeah, Chewy won’t be a commander. He’ll probably be able to stand alone so that he can be used as a special forces unit along the commander version of Han. But I still believe we’ll eventually get a special forces verse of Han (smuggler) to be used along side the aforementioned special forces Chewy
