Barghests

At first I thought, "Are you kidding?! Way too strong!" But upon further reflection, I think that's in the realm of possibility for a small specialty unit. With all of the 2-armor infantry, I think the key is making sure that they wouldn't be overpowered if they're spammed. I think too often FFG thinks, "Nobody in their right mind would buy enough for a full army/fleet," and then they warp the game.

Man, good memories!

Actually, we've gotten specific requests to test army configurations made up of primarily one type of unit, especially if it has an upgrade like bloodrage conduit that's intended to work in quantity.
Those were some... interesting tests.

Ahh, Bloodrage Conduit ... I had high hopes for creating a list centered around that card, but it's taken so long to be released, I think I've given up on it. Especially so, now that I have 2 Uthuk Y'llan Army Expansions and don't really need 8 expansions of Berserkers.

Proxy it for fun games. Only buy into it if it seems to actually be an effective thing

Or run it on Vassal ... o right I haven't quite released the Uthuk support yet ... soon.... real soon!

Yes, but when it comes time for Worlds, I predict that someone will try a 6-9 units with conduits army.

My first pass at such a lust is to have 8 of these units:
Berserkers [2x1] (16), Bloodrage Conduit (4), Serrated Spines (4)
At 24 points a piece, you can put 8 in a list for 192 points. A bit of an initiative bid, but worth a try, I think. It looks fun, but not exactly competitive, but hey, that's why I play games.

Yeah, maybe I will have to proxy it some time to test it out.

I really think it is just a gimmick card. Something fun and thematic but not intended to really work for tournaments.
...or maybe an army where any one unit can go Ambush Predator all over a target could be a thing.
