On page 84 of RoT it reads (in part): “...or similar location, your character cancels a number of uncanceled (Advantage symbol) no greater than your character’s ranks in Dungeoneer”. I assume that’s a typo and should be Threat? If not, what am I not understanding?

I think it's a typo, yeah. Should be Threat, IMO.
