To increase the number of games played, and therefore, increase the statistical relevance of game results.

It looks beautiful, with the added bonus that it's a fantastic game to play. People see Armada on the table and they want to know what it is! It looks so Star Wars.

Because it's pew pew, pew pew, pew.

For the simple reason that Legion doesn't have Big Death Triangles in it.

To sell the extra gozanti I don't need anymore.

Once they're up to speed they add new dimensions to competitive play. Plus having more people at the weekly meet is always fun!

I had this problem but I just kept persisting and watching local boards and now I have 3 other pretty reliable opponents and 3 others that bought in but are distracted by Legion at the moment.

Reasons for getting someone into Armada (especially with all of the great energy being created by SW:Legion):

It fills another need for all of those delving into the Legion hole. It is a fun, precise , and challenging game. Nothing else is needed! No gluing, painting, or terrain, and looks amazing out of the box(es). We are also 7 Waves deep and you can field A LOT of different things and still have loads of fun.

We also have a very loyal and awesome community minus one @BiggsIRL ( Be the community you want to backstab. )

Mostly I get new people to try Armada so I have more people to play with, and to justify my prack addiction.

Those people who share my attitude that a Star Wars Capital ships game is THE GAME you've always wanted since childhood need no further convincing.

They may want to know that the game is fun without spending thousands of dollars. It's been pretty balanced from start. Also, pay-to-win-gimmicky-fleets such as a TRC90 swarms and eight-flotillas-fleets, as well as overpowered upgrades such as Demo, Yavaris and Rhymer get nerfed for the sake of even greater game balance.

Btw, am I the only one who thinks that Admiral Ackbar's power should be restrained at some point, so that his ships only get the 2 extra dice when they attack from both port and starboard... you know, like the Ackbar slash in ROTJ and not just the super-cheap toilet-bowling?

Star Destroyers and B-wings. If they need more reason than that, it's not the game for them.
