So, that one guy who loves A-Wing won something special with Woodchipper, and I'm not seeing it on Meta-Wing. Is no one else trying it?
Can it beat Nym/Miranda? How do you fly it?

But I prefer 2x Deta x7 and 2x Nu gunboat with harpoon missiles for fun match until I got more strikers....
Edited by Arkanta974That list is the Dakka Dakka Special or something like that. It did very well at a regional in Omaha. It's an uphill sled vs Nym Miranda. They can PS kill something before it gets a chance to fire. That takes a lot of teeth out of the list. But it should do pretty good against some of the other stuff out there.

I also flew Woodchipper (2.0?) and went #20 out of 136 with it at the Massachusetts Regionals, but the TO hasn't filled in the lists so Meta-Wing isn't fully updated.

TL;DR: Its OK but not S-tier. I expected to go 4-2 at Regionals (which is underperforming for me), and that's what happened. It's a fun list though.

I remember seeing Kelvin beat Nym/Miranda with that list online. I don't remember his turn zero setup/flight pattern which I'm sure made a huge difference.
I wish podcasts would talk a little less about list-building and more about setups, openings, tactics, flight patterns, etc.
Don't take that wrong, I love your show and listen to it usually the same day it's up!

Honestly, it looks boring to fly to me - but effective.

I'm the guy who loves A wings. I won KC's regional prep tournament. Made top 8 in Omaha, and made day 2 in Tulsa's regional.
I'm 4-0 vs Nymranda but bear in mind that this is a little due to luck. You can beat it but you need a pristine first engagement. You need to be barely R3 vs one of the ships with all shots and you need to not die to double Harpoon. From there you are more likely than not (but still more less a coin flip) to kill a ship assuming you have all arcs on the ship. This is not easy and requires patience, great rock placement, and stellar range control.
I would honestly learn to fortress vs Ghost Fenn and Rey lists.

Basically the Nus form a wall or no fly zone and I use the Rocks I've placed (all on their side, you want to have a good idea how they're coming at you), the TLT, and the Vader Crew card to corral them into a predictable spot.
The other is a more spread out version of this for harpoons.

That's correct. I literally used to rock my daughter to sleep to Nova podcasts because they lasted long enough enough for her to fall asleep .
