I want to run Palob with Calculation and Blaster Turret (not a popular choice).

Does this sequence work?

(focus) for the blaster turret, (calculation) for the crit, (focus) to change the remaining dice.

If you have three focus tokens, it works, yes.

Each focus tokens can only be spent once, for one effect. So you need one to activate the blaster turret, one for Calculation, and one for any remaining eyeballs.

This is why Blaster Turret is terrible.

I'm not sure who was designing the HWK but they were feeling evil that day. Give it a 1 die attack and then the only really offensive turret (at time of release anyway) requires burning a token to even use. Recon Spec and Moldy Crow make it usable but then you're dumping a lot of points into a slow ship that dies easily.

I did have some fun with Blaster Turret on Kavil with the Agromech. Until the timing chart made that combo not work anymore.

Yeah. I'd love to see Blaster Turret make it back into the meta... maybe errata it to work like Expertise, too, so your spent focus token isn't totally wasted.
