Trying to guess what type of news we'll get for Armada. Not specific ships here, but more along the scale of what we'll see on May 1st. Personally, I'll be thrilled if we get C or better, but I"ll be ok if we at least get B. A would annoy me.

A) Paperwork only - IE new rules, a new format, or new digital content like a map maker, or list builder.

B) Another small wave, only 2 ships.

C) Semi-Small Wave - 2 Ships Plus a squadron pack or two.

D) Large Wave - 4 Ships!

E) Extra Large Wave 4 Ships PLUS Squadrons (like wave 2!)

F) New Core Set - (Prequels, Sequels, or maybe even same timeframe)

G) Super Star Destroyer

What do you guys think? and also - what do you hope for?

Personally I am hoping for something like C-E (F would be cool, though I am advocating for staying in the civil war era as much as possible - so no prequels or sequels for me, not against the ship for rebels and empire though).

I am expecting something like B-C and I am mentally ready for A xD.

Honestly, I'd be 100% cool with A... moreso than G, personally. For example, new objectives would excite me SO MUCH MORE than a Super Star Destroyer.

What it's going to be? I don't have expectations any more... I've been burned too many times (not just by Armada, by many games) to bother with expectations.

H-Z Corellian Conflict style campaigns. New objectives. New ship options. More RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!

All my Expectations are on either A, C, or G.

"Something Big." If we assume that whatever their something big comment was referencing is going to be revealed, then:

A) I would be okay with this. I would expect it be like "Armada has totally new way of playing with full integration into electronic format!"

B) I would be disappointed if this was the "something big," but as long as it's not, this is probably what I expect the second most.

C) Again, I would be disappointed if this was the "something big," but otherwise I expect this slightly most than B. The reason I say that is that I expect the Striker and U Wing to be released. Otherwise it doesn't make sense that the U Wing didn't come out with the MC-75.

D) Highly unexpected. I'm not entirely sure what those 4 ships would be, but I highly doubt this. That said, I would prefer B/C, but would absolutely be fine with D/E. The reason for the preference is that I don't feel like Armada can sustain tons of waves, so I would rather have 2 2 wave ships than 1 4 wave ship.

E) See above.

F) I don't know how likely I feel this is. But I would support it. The clone wars has some really pretty ships. I would prefer though that they approached it with a 3rd/4th faction, and for the moment you can combine them with Reb/Imp until they have enough releases to stand on their own feet, at which point they will be stand alone factions.

G) I can hope right? I've discussed how stretched the financials would be to make this viable, but I would personally love to have one, even if I never played with it on the table.

More than anything else, I would love it if there were more factions.

I doubt very much in the existence of a D option. (4 ships at once) I feel like they are going to struggle soon in pushing out new ships without crossing over into SSD range, reaching deep into various IP sources for ships, or outright having to create their own soon. Pushing out 4 at once to me seems like a tall stretch for something they would really have to be reaching out to do.

B & G

I expect wave eight will be a two ship wave with Rebels getting the Braha'tok and, in order of likelihood, the Empire getting either the Arrestor, the Dreadnaught or the Venator.

I also expect we'll be getting the Executor-class for a Christmas release that is distinct from wave eight. Scale issues aside, it's the only main trilogy imperial ship we have yet to get in game.

From a pure wish list, I'd also love to see them adopt a rotating set of tournament objectives released as part of another campaign box but I don't suspect we'll see that anytime soon.

I wonder how much they regret the "something big" comment at this point.

A and C would be nice. I wouldn't mind a rework of some upgrades and objectives...

I'm expecting B at best. I also would expect absolutely nothing about Armada given the track record.

This is where my money is. My guess is two small ship releases even though Rebels sorely need a medium ship. I do think we will also get G as a stand alone release as well.

I think there is an outside chance of a faction jumping release where we get an Imperial Nebulon B and a Rebel Quasar as both are cannon.

If I were a betting man, ( obviously I am, SWM20 is the SSD), I would be guessing C & G as separate releases.

For C: I fully expect Braha'tok, (75% chance it will be a Flotilla.) Something small base for Empire, hopefully between the Gozanti and the Raider in points. Not sure if we see a mixed Squadron pack, or 2 faction specific Squadron packs, but I am confident the U-wing will be in there.

For G: I am expecting epic rules set, possibly including campaign style new objectives, geared towards epic play, (new color like CC green objectives), but including new standard objectives. If they actually include a campaign, I expect titles rather than unique squadrons this time around.

Of course, if FFG includes anything good that can be used in the standard game, half of the Armada fan base my reach for their torches and pitchforks!

I think we will hear tons about Legion, Destiny and Xwing, and Armada will get crap...

bummed out here, I guess.

I am hoping for a 2 ship wave with a freighter pack and campaign.

Though I expect to see the wave 8 announcement before the 1st and SSD on the 1st.

I expect B maybe with A.

FFG will prefer smaller but more frequent waves to keep up the hype. So either two ships or two squadrons and perhaps a new package like Corellian Conflict that would allow 400+ points games. ( like 600 points to make space for bigger ships yet to come)

I am always hoping for G but I just dont think there will be a Rebel counterpart for it. So if they are going to release, I feel like it will be probably a solo event.

Oh, if they do release SSD, it would be probably named Tsunami 1 rather than wave 8 or 9

I hope for B & G (squadrons are fun but we can wait for wave 9).

G: They still waiting on the Mouse's designers to drop the blueprints for the Toma Starhawk. Though for epic is not impossible to release epic ships for one side first, as with X-wing.

I'll be happy with 'something' frankly... I mean IA just got its wave announcement and that game is supposed to be dead!

Feel like i need something to sooth the wounds left by the FAQ on my flotilla collection.

I'm happy to get anything new, 2 ships to 4 ships are all gravy to me. I wouldn't be overly excited about prequel stuff, but I wouldn't hate it. I wouldn't be excited about fighters at all, unless it was new options for old fighters ala Campaign fighters, and I would go nuts for a Chewie and Lando Falcon (emphasis on Lando) and a Rogue Squadron Wedge just because Rogue Squadron is alway welcome. I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in anything Sequel, and that includes the Sequels themselves. As for the SSD, I wouldn't be excited about personally, but would be happy to see it just so I don't have to read another "why we need the SSD" thread. Although, I'm sure those would immediately be replaced with the "the SSD sucks, and FFG needs to fix it" threads, or "the SSD is broken, and needs to be nerfed" threads. Or, more probably both. If I had to vote for one thing (besides Lando in the Falcon) that would make me actually excited, it would be the Assault Frigate mk1, but I'm not holding my breathe, and am perfectly fine with my Mel's AF mk1 standing in for the Space Guppy.
