Sorry about this stupid question but i just couldnt find the answer in the previous discussion. Does the word "any phase" mean "in any player's phase" or only in "my phase"? For example, one of my oppenent is about to initiate a challenge agaisnt another player, can i now use an event card which contains "any phase" ,for now is in the phase of challenge? Or i cant cuz it is not my turn yet.

There is only one of each phase in a particular round.

In the Marshalling and Challenges phases, players take turns being the active player during the phase, but there is still only one phase. There is no such thing as "my challenge phase" and "your challenge phase;" there is only the one challenge phase for all players.

So an "Any Phase" action (or a Challenge or Marshalling action for that matter) can be taken at any time during the phase that a player is allowed to trigger a standard action. The identity of the Active Player doesn't actually play any part in determining when a player can trigger an action.
