Master of Evil + terrain

By Xiervak, in Star Wars: Legion

If imperial player plays the Master of Evil command card, and there is a building/impassable terrain between Vader and a rebel trooper, how does one trace the 1-2 range from Vader to those troopers? Do you trace through the building and apply suppression as such? Does it depend on LOS?

To measure range, a player places the range ruler so its beginning touches part of the base of the mini that range
is being measured from. Then, the player points the range ruler toward the mini that range is being measured to; the measured range is the range that corresponds to the segment closest to the beginning of the ruler that a portion of the base of the mini being measured to is in.

(RRG pg 37)

In this game, Vader has mini-chlorians which are very small and can pass through plastic, foam and legos. So his aura of fear pass through most terrain.

This does not answer my question, can you be more specific in how this relates? It says nothing about terrain?

I am guessing that unless the card asks for line of sight, you go by just distance. Do what the card tells you do to do, no more, no less.

Not knowing why? They can hear his breathing!!!

Example:

Also, use it to counter Son of Skywalker. You get a free dodge token, and if they don't activate Luke first (don't know why you wouldn't), you can suppress him (white dice suck).

There are lots of other effects that just require being in range you probably take for granted.... like your Commanders RNG 3 Order/Courage bubble.

I’d thought it self evident, since you asked about measuring range and I gave you the rule entry on measuring range.
