Battlefoam? Other solutions?
What are people using to transport their army?
I have a shoebox that fits 6 speeder bikes, 10 squads (70 minis) and the 2 commanders. Tissue paper on top to protect them and prevent shifting too much or moving up.
once I get another shoebox I can probably put the AT-ST on its side and divide them between rebels and imperials.
Nothing special...just the box they came in.

The box and the packaging (including the plastic baggies) seems to be sufficient for now, here, although my speeder bikes and AT-ST ride in their own packaging.
I'll get a box with foam inlay from Safe&Sound, they are sturdy, light, look good, and fullfill my criterium that storage must not cost more than an expansion.
Star Destroyer for now but with the amount of expansions will upgrade to Super Star Destroyer at some point ![]()
A Stanley 19” toolbox. I took this idea from X-Wing players at my local game store. My tokens are kept in a small compartmentalized tackle box which has two sides so the other side stores the dice. There’s a tray in my tool box so the painted rebel army goes there and the vehicles are kept in the bottom. I also have room for my RRG. My stormtroopers are unpainted and kept in the extra compartment in the lid.
I use feldher foam case. Cheap, but extremely good in quality.
I was a battlefoam devote, but and I still think they have some very good offerings.
But the cost and speed of delivery made me swap to Feldherr. Feldherr cases are on Amazon, cheap, generally at my door in 3 days, and works very well.
My only current issue is that I'm only a Imperial Player and so I just want space for AT-STs, bikes, and storm troopers and Vader. I don't need ATRT space. I'm waiting for that foam to come out.
Right now using the Plano 732.

That's someone else using it for X-wing, but it fits the entirety of my two Legion cores, AT-ST, and T-47 with room for future releases (maybe not big vehicles). It fits because I haven't glued the head of the AT on, likely going to magnetize anyway.
I've got a battlefoam bag that's suffered years of service. Not sure if I would go that route if I was starting fresh, but its certainly made a lot of trips to the game store.
Now that Battlefoam has SW:Legion cutouts, I'm just going to design my own trays to suit needs. It's a little pricey, bit less bulky and easier to transport when you're only getting what you need without wasted space.
Until we get a sizable army(ies) i dont see a reason to go beyond the core box.
Unlike RWM, 2 cores is plenty for a game and even excess when you add in the heavy unit. RWM you still needed some more stuff so the core box got crowded VERY fast.
I'll be buying some generic troop foam trays and slicing them to size to keep my models from banging up though. Just havnt actually made the purchase. Course all my models are on my painting desk atm anyway so not like they need storage (i have major issues getting models off my desk to go play until theyre finished, so i havnt actually played in like 3 weeks...though being sick 1 week didnt help)

That even looks like a piece of Coruscant terrain ![]()
Plano pistol case
im alble to fit two starter boxes worth of imperials inside 1 box no problem. Vader and commanders in 1 section, normal troopers in another, specialist in another section and speeder bikes and theri bases in the large section.
At this point transporting my army isn't much of a concern...it's transporting my terrain.

I went to Walmart yesterday and looked at that, the at-st fits inside on the top lid attached to the base?
I made some bins to 3d Print that fit into the core box. Basically individual blocks that hold each unit. Also magnets!

With the head detached both parts fit inside. Also room for two AT-RTs, airspeeder, and airspeeder base (also detached).
+1 on magnets. Looking for either a piece of metal that fits the core box or a cool lunch box to replace this jigsaw tin.

Box is 11 1/4x11 1/4
I got a piece of 12x12 sheet metal at Home Despot for about $12.00 and cut it down.
Edited by Zrob314What do you use to cut that down?

Not Zrob, but aviation snips. They look like heavy duty scissors and you can get some for about $10-13

I used a heavy duty razor knife.
Wear gloves.
Don't cut your fingers off....that's what hobby knives are for.
