I've just started to get back into X-Wing a while ago, and I bought a Jumpmaster 5000 recently. I noticed that the cards still have two torpedo slots and a slot for a salvaged astromech. This doesn't reflect the changes in the FAQ, which got me wondering, did I just happen to buy a Jumpmaster that has been sitting on the shelf for a while at my LGS, or does FFG not upgrade the card text on subsequent printings to reflect any changes made in the FAQs?
Returning player discovers FAQ.
With the exception of Advanced SLAM, I've never heard of FFG updating the packs to reflect the errata.
It's frustrating.
I suspected that was the case. It seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to me, but on the other hand, I can understand the reluctance to spend the money and resources required to update the cards whenever there's a change, especially if that change ends up getting reversed in the future.
unfortunately, you fit the nail on the head there. It's far too costly to issue a recal and reprint when players can just be made to consult the FAQ
fortunately, a.) the change has vastly improved the game by eliminating torpedo scout dominance (they were just stupid) and b.) it's still, despite all the nerfs, and **** fine ship
which speaks volumes as to how utterly broken it was upon release
Just play casually and ignore the faq
Sort of kidding.
yeah, only alt art cards seem to get the faq text. My Dengar alt art from Adepticon has the faq-Ified upgrade slots
I'm not sure that's correct. I've just gone through my collection, and most cards that had an errata 2-3 faqs ago seem to have the updated text on them. For example my accuracy corrector card from a recent IG2000 pack has the updated text.

Heavy Scyk too.

This isn't remotely true. Every past erratum has been implemented in reprints, and these will too, eventually.
The JM just hasn't been reprinted since it came out. Nor's the K wing since the ASLAM errata, etc.
All the early errata (Daredevil, Crack Shot, etc) have been reprinted correctly, both in their original sets and in newer ones, and I have no doubt these will be too, eventually.
The exception is the rule book, which has never been reprinted with errata, which is a pain.
Edited by thespaceinvaderDo you think when the JM5000 pack is reprinted they'll remove the cards you can't use on the ship anymore? And if so, what pack would they go back in to?

I don't think a recall is necessary, but one would think any future printings at least should have the change.

They updated Cloak, and Autothrusters before too.
He probably got a Jumpmaster thats been out for a why. In fact I don't think it's been reprinted yet since after the FAQ came out.

They’ll update it when there’s a new print. But if the boxes are already done and shipped they aren’t going to bother with it.
I also doubt they'll change the box contents, too many headaches
1.) Gotta change the contents, pulling from upgrade cards already found in other expacs or designing whole new cards
2.) Gotta put out an article to make **** sure people know about the changes and STILL have to deal with complaints from people buying one version of the box while expecting the other
3.) Find a new home for all the salvaged mechs in the jm5k box
I'd be accepting of them treating the jm5k as a sort of Most Wanted box (has cards for models not included in it)
Though I do hope we'll get more Salvaged Mech ships soon. Neither the Y nor Kim are particularly suited to r5p8 or over clocked
Fully expect errated cards when the box is reprinted, though
Edited by ficklegreendiceUh, FFG has replaced broken ships for many customers in the past, perhaps they would send out corrected cards for people who ask nicely?
