Everything I have seen would indicate that that folk don't want an FAQ (frequently asked questions). Instead they want FFG to stop some cards working with each other. That's not an FAQ, that's clearly a 'nerf' so call it what it is and ask FFG for a nerf book
What do people need an FAQ for?

A document printed on foam instead of paper??
That should cut down on paper cuts. Safety first!!
I honestly, think the nerf list is pretty short. TLT just need a one damage per attack limit and I would raise Harpoons to 5 points.
They have really over nerfed a lot of things.

FFG has never, in the history of ever, changed a price on a printed card in the X-Wing FAQ. So don't expect that Harpoon change. They may do something like make the 'Harpooned' condition unique (so only one Harpoon could be in one ship at a time...table-wide) or limited (can only be applied once per target) if they feel the weapon really is overpowered, or otherwise change the wording on it, but they definitely won't change its cost in the FAQ.
I honestly don’t think it’s over powered it’s just pretty clearly the most cost efficient missle and should be in 5 pt range in my opinion. It’s not that different from an assault missile
In order to know if Jam tokens stack. And if they do, in which order and how many to remove.
Yes, we want a nerf of cards/ships/pilots that are overpowered and dominating the meta. How are such nerfs published? In an FAQ.

People just call it a FAQ because it's easier than typing Faq/Errata.
This isn't something unique to FFG, look at games like 40k. Their FAQ/Errata get called FAQ's by their community as well.
If you already realized this and are bringing it up anyways, quit being a pedantic fuckwit. If you didn't realize this,
Your post restored some sanity points...

You are so witty, I answered your question yesterday

It's not trying to be witty or anything like that. I get that erratas are published in the FAQ document but it seems that when previous ones have happened there has been a lot of stuff needing to be cleared up and maybe a couple of bits of OP stuff brought into line.
Lately people seem to be asking more for stuff to be nerfed and there seems to be very little in the way of rules clarifications needed
Because no matter what, no matter the state of the game, or balance or anything this forum will be screaming for nerfs/buffs/changes.
If they release on FAQ with every single thing people are complaining about I would give it less then 4h before a nerf thread on something else was posted with screams that the FAQ was not good enough and we need a new one.
Ghost/fen is already out of our local meta. At our regionals, it was the most represented list in attendance and only one made top 8 and was knocked out. only one harpoon missile was in top 8 and it came in second.
Sure this is my local area but somehow we managed to deal with all these"overpowered game breakings" things.
Really the issue is there is a strong minority that love to complain, and think anything they ever lost to is an NPE.

Thank you. Finally someone speaks sense.
There will always be a top list. Nerf ghost and Fenn and it will be something else. Nerf it enough and 6x prototype pilot A-Wing will be OP

This.
....front 80 deg arc locked fighters OP in a arced fighter miniatures space game? I’m in!

Actually that’s not very accurate. While there are certainly some people who fall into that category, most of the people calling for nerfs (or buffs) do it because they see that something is warping the meta and they would like to see a more balanced playing field. Back in the day of wave 4, TIE Phantoms never won worlds or any of the other really big events (that I’m aware of), but they were still distorting the meta by pushing everything except fat turrets out of it. The Phantom nerf was a good thing and made for a healthier, more pleasant playing field.
Yes, Ghost+Fenn is beatable. So is Miranda, Nym, harpoons, and <fill in the blank with whatever>. That’s not the point. The point (at least in the opinions of those calling for nerfs) is that they distort the meta and frequently create NPEs, even when matched against each other.

The official name should be "Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game Frequently Asked Questions and Errata" and in every post we should be required to post the full name in every post or use the acronym SWXWMGFAQAE for simplicity...

You're right, we don't want "an FAQ."
We want "a FAQ" that includes appropriate errata.
Get on board the SWXWMGFAQAE train...

On the flip side, you could translate "there were always be a top list" into "there will always be a worst case scenario so don't bother striving for sny improvement"
Which is a really sad stance to take, especially given all the necessary erratas over the course of the game (large ship roll, decloak, half points large ships, DEADEYE change, manaroop Nerf, mindlink nerf, x7 Nerf, Palp nerf, biggs nerf, scout nerf to name a few)
This is necessary and continue to be necessary while FFG continues releasing sloppily playtested products
Ideally there wouldn't be any need and we could enjoy the game as is, but sadly no one is perfect and xwing is particularly flawed
Bit of a shame whenthe base rules are so nice, but it's better than just twiddling your thumbs because things will never be perfect
Yeah. Why bother eating, you'll just go hungry again. Smh.
And honestly, I don't think you need much errating
Just really gotta hit TLT and harpoons (which curtails Miranda, nym and the ghost//phantom VCX + the high ps poon alpha that would probably take over afterwards).
Maybe gotta hit Fenn raus (rebel) because his utility is ridiculous and we already errated Biggs for less
If we're not hitting TLT because some people think Ys will be any fun times face, then Miranda's ability has to go primary weapon only

In arc only ![]()
Or else PTW still coverts TLT hole (4 dice primary at R1). Plus K-wing as a powerful ordnance carrier seems fine to me.

+Sabine
She easily has as much impact on a game as palpatine, for 1/4th of the investment.
you know, I really havn't seen Sabine pop up anywhere recently. seems gobs of dice and turrets have taken over
not sure how you'd change her, though. maybe "your bomb token" instead of "a friendly bomb token"?

Sabine's in about half of Miranda lists IME. SHe's tied for best crew for Mira with 3PO.
But with Nym/Randa in a back seat she's a little less common.
Doesn't stop her being ridiculously brokenly good when she does turn up tho.
Could we just ask that Imperial lists be allowed to add a Scum "Bounty Hunter" ship and see what combinations come out of it?
