What wing is your wing?

Define this as something that stands apart from other categories and I'll add it. Otherwise I'm ignoring it.

I can't count this. It's all X-wing.

It was mostly just a silly joke.

But I do have a tendancy to fly mostly rebel/scum ships with wings on them. Ships without wings, such as the Ghost, Millenium Falcon, Wookie Gunship, or Aggressor, don’t make it into my lists as often.

I got that, and I grinned a bit, but I'm also trying to take people's votes seriouly to prove a point. So far I think the numbers speak for themselves.

In seriousness, I suppose I would mostly fall into the Jank Wing category.

Generic-wing.

Includes unique pilots for ships where there are no true generics available, and Jess Pava (I mean, c'mon, why even have the generic with her around).

Post-FAQ-wing: love to play at a tournament shortly after a FAQ has dropped as everything is up in the air..

Otherwise.

Theme-wing : ie. an event where there are thematic restrictions, such as Episode 1-3 only (only featuring ships/pilots and crew from the movies)

Any and all GUNBOAT lists, I suppose. NUx3QD, RHOBOATS, LONEBOAT (Lists with single GUNBOAT), you name it, I love it.

ughhhhhh, least favorite wing then.

ordinance is dumb and reload is the worst

Maybe Vontoothskie is legitimately upset about the Imperial ordinances that are allowing the glorious GUNBOAT to unleash such massive amounts of ordnance on our game?

Ace wing, Ordnance Wing, and of course STARWING

Swarm wing makes my head ache :(

Squad wing? I try to build like one ace and then 3 others behind it like a true squad.

Otherwise it really is hybrid Ace/Swarm.

Your own thematic impression of squad composition?

Your style also fits the definition of Ace + mini-swarm, which is Swarm-wing.

Thematic-wing.

Im purposely spelling it that way to bother sensitive word snobs.

Ordunance Or ordenance (both correct spellings btw) is french, shortenened to ord'nance as a misspronounciation/contraction by uneducated english grunts.

people trying to word snob about the spelling are actually correcting people who are also spelling it correctly.

its like if i said "you have" and you got all hot n bothered and chimed in"excuse me, but its 'you've' lol... btw im very smart"

its silly

What is jank-wing? It's sounds like my kinda list

Jank-wing is the X-wing played by scrubs (me) and filthy casuals (also me) who build lists around quirky card interractions for fun. One win with a jank list is worth a hundred WAAC victories. If you look back in this thread, you'll see my brief speculation on what a jank-wing tournament might look like.

Part of me wants to say " Swing-Wing ," just to be cute, but Meta-Wing is probably most accurate. Or at least, Meta-Adjacent-Wing . I kinda like playing, say, high-table tournament lists that aren't quite the top. Fenn/Poe/Braylen is a little bit off from Fenn/Ghost or Ezra/Lowhh/Miranda, but like, it's still Sheathipede. My previous list was Rainbow TIE/D Defenders, which is, again, something I heard of on a podcast, that it had done well, but the kinda surprising list in the meta. I've been playing around with PTL Starvipers. I keep meaning to take out the Poe/Chewbacca list with Bistan in it, which made a few top tables in Europe before Ghost/Fenn took off. So count that as Meta-Wing .

Oh god. I've got a great Jank-Wing experience last Tuesday. I flew Triple Tactician/Expertise Auzituck against a friend. He had SWARM LEADER/Finn Norra Wexley along with Shara Bey and a no-turret Jan Ors with Lando. The attack dice pools on the three attacks Norra made before dying? 7 dice (no final blanks), 8 dice (no blanks), 6 dice (one blank, but four crits). Each attack landed on a different 'tuck, and so I was in a pretty deep hole. Shara's rear arc + TL + Jan can do work.

TIE-Wing. All TIEs! All the time! No FO!

That's ugly. ;)

I'd probably end up going for Jank-Wing. I occasionally do some swarm-wing, turret-wing and ace-wing, too.

This is most definitely me. Winning a game on the most obscure, complicated, devastatingly complex interaction of cards is always a top ranking goal.

Also the reason I could never be competitive in MtG games
