What wing is your wing?
Swarm wing or Ace wing, depending of my mood !
So, in swarm wing division, it would just be swarms vs swarms in every match?
In that case, i will take Meta wing.
No way i want to play swarm vs swarm 6 games in a row. Or palp aces vs palp aces over and over and over.
Look how much fun the players had in that miranda/low mirror match. Now do that multiple times.

Acewing; nothing feels more X-Wing than wondering whether or not I properly guessed what my opponent is thinking, whether or not I need to bug out or commit for the kill. Nothing in the game compares.
Ace wing.
I loved those games with Soontir Fel, each game was on the razor edge. One false move could spelt doom for careless player. Games were exciting and really fun to watch. You were trying to block Aces with some blockers, and Aces were trying to line up good shots. That was the best time of X-Wing in my opinion. Also arcs mattered.

The funny thing is Miranda was already here when Aces were at the top of the food chain. The problem is Sabine Wren crew card - for 2 pts you get card that makes bombs just too good. But I won't talk anymore because OP clearly forbade talking about balance related things.
I like both ace and swarm wing... so its a tough call.....

Ace Wing, but I'd change that to Jank Wing if had any skill with it whatsoever.
I am partial to Imperial Bomb Wing though. Because I can't help myself. Could that shoehorn into Jank Wing?
Thematic Wing for me. I prefer thematic lists right now but it's a lower priority than functionality and fun for tournaments.
Meta-Wing would be a close second. I'm fascinated by the meta, and there's something that appeals to me about hardcore competitive list-building making the absolute best combos out of the game's card pool.
That said: I suspect that if the division ever happened (which it wouldn't, but if it did), one of the formats would become the default/standard. I would probably play that one because going to tournaments is the biggest draw of the game for me. Well, unless it was Jank-Wing - spending a whole day playing against people's "wacky" ideas would probably get tiresome, that kind of thing is best in small doses.
Ace Wing by the slightest of margins.
But I play a different list every week. I have 81 ships and dang it I'm gonna fly them all so I pretty much fly everything except meta wing.
Also if we are talking all formats than my answer changes to Epic Wing. In Epic Wing, you can do a little of all of it. Plus I can put my 10 Ties or 6 X's down all at once.

Any and all GUNBOAT lists, I suppose. NUx3QD, RHOBOATS, LONEBOAT (Lists with single GUNBOAT), you name it, I love it.

No, unfortunately not (yet). I’d have to go for Ace-wing then.
