Rapid Launch Bays

Does the FAQ change mean they cannot attack?

"For each squadron you would activate with this command, you may place 1 of your set-aside squadrons within distance 1. It cannot move this activation.”

The first part implies the squadron is not active at all. the latter implies it is. I believe they mean place it, don't move it and then attack, but it could be clearer

There is a rules forum ya know ;)

oh no, not this again

Place them.

do nothing with them.

decide on how you want to spend your squad command.

IF you spend it on them, they can’t move. But they can attack.

But placing them just HAPPENS, with no further effect to them. They are inactivated and you have yet to actually resolve any of your squad command “points”

So there is.. shall i cross port it there and anywhere else that looks vaguely relevant?..

and admin could move it, should they be concerned.

Thanks Drasnighta for a useful post!

To be fair, I would have answered quicker in the Rules Forum... I get notices about thins in there ??

but no no reason to not answer

Honestly, I find it funny that the FAQ basically made RLBs kind of nice to use. But, in my area, everyone stopped using them. Too much setup required perhaps?

Feel free to move it, or suggest such action if an admin can get to it.. thanks.

A couple players locally keep trying to get them to work. Heck, I even ran them in a BTA build before wave 7 dropped. It's a fun idea, and if your fleet isn't totally dependent on deployments, can work out in neat ways.

Of course there is!!

People who do not see that there is a rules forum must be PUNISHED to the fullest extent possible. Ridicule, reporting, and not having their question answered!!!

Of course, that would not be very civil. But there is a reason. :P

I did not answer because I didn't have the answer. I am not a rules guru and I took college English twice because I hate any and all languages. You get a faster response in the rules forum which is why I said it.

Weak, man. Just weak.

It's clear that you're soft on improper forum posting. You're willing to give the norms lip service, but when it comes to the hard work of per prosecution, you back down.

Mr Hasselstein was yanking your chain good sir. Like all aspiring Imperial Overlords, kick em when they show weakness.

Repurposing this ride:

With the nerf of Yavaris + FCT. I see a lot more fun in using RLB to get Bwings on target.

Is it worth it to try for firesprays too?

Dr. Hasselstein.

And what do you mean 'aspiring'?

But other than that, agreed! Chains and beatings for weakness are key ingredients for a stong Empire.

You're lucky, I nearly wrote Dr Finklestein. lol

It may be. I hosted a Q1 Sunday with 12 people and A RLB Raddus fleet took 1st by a wide margin. May be worth testing

RLB Raddus is fun, but so risky. One time I hit with a 1 in a million shot and lost Raddus before the drop. It's a lot of points tied up in hyperspace ha

True enough, but it packs a wallop, that's for sure. It wasn't the fleet I thought was going to win. We had an Mc80 independence/yavaris pushing a huge cluster of bombers that looked terrifying.... but in the last match it lost to my local meta's Dodonna Drill with no squads.

It was an interesting tournament.
