Not too much spoiled for skirmish, just one of the new heroes:
Her command card:
And Zeb:
There are some other cards visible in the grouped images, too, but my eyes aren't good enough to pick those out
Also some of the campaign reveals, like Thrawn, Kanan and the Deathtroopers, have really cool abilities that mess with activation order to one degree or another. It'll be cool to see if/how some of those abilities translate into skirmish.
With her command card, Tress has a (very) outside chance of pulling off Cleave 7!
OP!
The Pack Alpha card shown in the spread is insane. Creatures are going to make a comeback!

Don't forget blitz and power tokens
the "rolled" I think takes that away. Could be wrong though and there is always focus
They are hiding *a lot* of the skirmish details this time. My quick observations/thoughts:

Truth! Hahaha so now we're at 9, add focus and Hera for 11. Better hope nobody is standing next to Vader trying to be a bodyguard
Edit: Ah, "rolled". I guess that leaves us with a max of 8. Still not too shabby!

It specifically mentions only the one she rolls. So focus would help but blitz and Power tokens wouldn’t.
"Heavy Fire" skirmish upgrade with the Thrawn pack. Hmmmmm...AT-ST fix?
Rebel Brawlers are getting viable now. JLuke, Zeb and Tress...

Right, if focused she would deal 5dmg, 5recover, 5+2+1 cleave, stun and weaken. Not too shabby for a 5 pts figure!
Edited by Golan TrevizeMan I’m so excited for new stuff and... not excited for what we got. I like rebels too so it’s not really that, but the merc lothcats look uninteresting, zeb is in a dumb pose, style tokens seem like an unnecessary and badly named addition... I just want it to fit the vibe of the rest of imperial assault and it doesn’t look like it will. But I’m excited about the imperial stuff we’re getting.
TL;DR I’m happy that we get new stuff for this excellent game but really I’m already waiting for the wave after this.

I don't disagree. The new additions to the game seem pretty awesome, but I'm not a big Star Wars rebels guy, so I'll be pumped for the next wave. What I really want to know is...WHAT's IN THE BOX??? What's in the boxxxxxxx? I hope a fix for Boba.

- Each blister has at least one Skirmish Upgrade card, and it appears all of them are neutral upgrades. What an excellent design & production choice! (Gotta Buy Them All!)
- One of the Skirmish Upgrade cards is for Vehicles, and looks to be something that adds to the damage output. (Get excited, AT-DPs!)
- With as much Cleave that (Skirmish) Tress Hacnua can pump out in an attack, are the designers thinking we're going to have more clustering of figures?
- Protect the Old Ways (Kanan's command card) adds another reason why Fool Me Once exists
- Really hoping Extra Armor is Cost 0 since it's an elite card. It appears to give Block Tokens. I'd be fine with it being either a "at the start of the game, gain X Block Tokens" or a "exhaust this card to gain 1 Block Token" mechanic.
- If Extra Armor is Cost 0, Stormtroopers get just a little bit more viable to use. They really need to start the game with at least +1 Damage Token for me to feel like they can actually get a shot in.
- Hostile Negotiations (in Hondo's blister) appears to be a "you do something harmful to yourself and your opponent discards Command cards" card... that any figure can do for free.
- In X-Wing, they made a nice synergy between Hondo's crew card and Ezra's crew card or ship cards. Hoping they do the same for them in Skirmish.
- Let's Make A Deal (Hondo's command card) is SO HONDO.
- Yay new creature & creature command card! Was really hoping we'd get some Creature love this wave.
Can you read those cards? I've got them blown up on my big screen and still can't read them.
Whole army of Loth cats and Nexu coming?

i actually think they kind of kept the same vibe as Hote which i like. I'm still upset they dished out and then nearly forgot about HIDE as a mechanism (which is why we're still stuck playing Gideon and 3PO in every list) - so I'm glad they are expanding on the power token abilities and continuing it.
Death Troopers and Thrawn are going to rock skirmish (they look to be the ones that will be very similar to campaign as far as rules set)
Why does Tress' command card not have Cleave 3 on it? So you can split them up I guess?

Bantha and LothCat swarm! lol.
Are any of these the upgrades that DTDanix made?

I didn’t feel the vibe was the same. The art style specifically rubs me the wrong way because it clashes with the aesthetic of the entire rest of the game (being based on an animated show vs live action).
I love power tokens, but I don’t feel style tokens are really expanding power tokens. They’re separate and nearly identical abilities. Maybe I’m wrong about this and feel free to correct me if I am, but power tokens do pretty much the same thing as style tokens except style tokens maybe only work with one character? Why not make another character who utilizes power tokens so that power tokens become more important/viable? It’s like having one figure use “Dealth” instead of “health”. It seems pointless.
But the death troopers and Thrawn look ok artistically and look like they will add into their faction nicely instead of being kind of bizarre one off mechanic units. So I’m excited for them.
But seriously now that that you brought up nexu, lothcats do not look as though they fit a unique niche. It’s just disappointing as a merc player.
you may be right as far as the campaign goes. FFG uses all of their artwork over so some of the figure cards may be lacking in the quality artwork but I think the other scenario cards and command cards will be solid. The tiles should be fine
an you're right that the Loth cats in and of themselves are silly (they were silly in the cartoon) but the mechanic and having another creature besides the bantha (which will make a comeback once Nal Hutta is gone) and Nexu and maybe the Rancor will be awesome.
I still think built in squad swarm/strength in numbers is super strong for the Death troopers. The 3pt regular death trooper will be worth taking which is pretty awesome for Imperials.

The basic ability for the style tokens seems the same as a power token, but they've already shown that they will interact with other class cards as well. So it's not just a decision of "when do I spend this for +1 damage", it's "do I want to spend this for +1 damage or save it for my awesome ability when I get a second one?" Think of it like Saska's device tokens or Loku's recon tokens. Sure at the beginning they're just +1 surge and +1 damage respectively, but as you build your character they can do a lot more.
And regarding lothcats being the same as Nexu, from the looks of it they're both the first small creature and the first creature to have a multi-figure deployment group. That alone makes them different, and we don't even know what their abilities are yet.

They do have a version of Pounce like the Nexu - so there's that going for them and Built-in pierce.

+Wild Attack: 6+2+1. Any other way to add dice to an attack for a brawler?

I do appreciate the mechanical difference of the lothcat in that regard. But they’re sure to be fast, relatively high attack low defense units with lower health. Apparently they also have a pounce like ability. So again, very similar. They also look aesthetically different from the other creatures because they’re cartoons, and in my opinion have always looked kinda dumb.
As for the style tokens, what I’m saying is have the ability read “this unit gains power tokens for x reason, this unit can spend power tokens for y ability instead of using them normally if they choose”
that way you still get cool and interesting new abilities and interactions but don’t have new mechanics and tokens that can only be used on one figure, and you’ll avoid terrible names like style tokens as a bonus

The text is unreadable if you blow the image size up. I just squinted at the actual-sized images and did my best to read.
