When my group was so thrilled when they won the finale mission in the Core Box. One of them got wide eyed and asked "Did we just kill Darth Vader?" and then I read the narration and told them how Vader was defeated, but not dead. They looked disappointed, but also kind of relieved at having not broken the world. It was great.

Vader defeated Farm Boy Luke in that Star Destroyer... I don't know where Luke would have withdrawn to, but sure didn't make it back to the shuttle everyone else escaped on... (he dead)

He fell in vent trap and Force called Leia to pick him up
