Hello Rune Warriors!

Epidsode 19 has arrived and we have our new Uthuk Y’llan host! He doesn’t waste any time and we dive right in going over everything we (and of course we means Aaron) got wrong. From Ravos’ craziness to the berserker charge we have a little chat now that our council member from the demonic faction has arrived.

Josh also guides us through our evaluation of siege units. We go over abilities, durability and rank our favorites. Will there be controversy when everyone plays favorites with their factions? (Well yea, otherwise that would be a crap tease).

Finally got around to listening to this episode. I'm surprised you all went on and on about how powerful the Spined Threshers are and then everyone ranked Aymhelin Scions and Carrion Lancers above Spined Threshers, with Spined Threshers only beating Rune Golems. Did I miss something?

EDIT: And I'm also surprised that Front Line Spined Thresher is considered "trash."

3 out of 4 off us have no experience with Spined Threshers, so it was hard for us to endorse them. But I did get a have in this weekend with a Front Line Spined Threshers, and it's no joke.

Yeah, 2 games ago I got hit by a berserkarstar for the, with Tempered steel and FLST, perfect 21 damage. Although a statistical outlier, it was no joke

But to be fair the Spearstar can put out even more with FL Rune Golem. Edit: But that is at initiative 7 instead of berserkers initiativ 4. Hitting first does matter.

Well remember you can hit on 3 with a spearstar you still get threat increases after all, sure you lose the ability to dial up an extra hit, but that initiative 3 attack is nothing to complain about. Mix in a Raven-Pennon Bearer and you could attack on a 2.

So I have a group of 3 regular players here in the Phoenix area (east valley) with 2 new players showing a significant amount of interest. One of my regulars is leaving in the next week for 6 months. I am trying to build the group up to enough players to get a tournament scene going here. Who else plays in the Phoenix area (especially the east valley) that might be interested in joining up every once in a while, hopefully at an equidistant game store that is willing to host?

I see a Chris B on the player map, but with no contact information listed.

Any other players out there in my area? I feel like if we can get 8 regular players together we can get some good tournaments going. I'm close to having 4 here now and will likely have 5 in 6 months....

Well, shucks! My in-laws live in Phoenix. Maybe I'll have to contact your group the next time I'm out there.

@Budgernaut The more the merrier man! My email's on the map post. Send me an email or message me here before the next time you come out. You probably wouldn't even need to bring your armies because we have all invested in at least 2 of the four armies, and three of us bought 7 Uthuk starters between us...
