Hi there,
I've been looking through the rulebook and the FAQ in the forum here and was unable to find an answer to this. If you are building your dice pool and have your Skill value equal to your Characteristic Value, do you just get two proficiency dice? The book states you upgrade using the lower value, but in this case they would be equal. Sorry if this was answered elsewhere.
Skill and Characteristic Equal?
If they're equal, just choose one to determine your ability dice and the other to determine how many to upgrade. In other words, yes, they are all proficiency dice.
I don't know where do you get the "two", cause the number and the kind of dies are determined by the skill and the characteristic. If both values are the same, all the dices would be yellow.
The system doesn't discriminate between them. The bigger value determines how many dices you'll roll (you must check the talents and other things also) and the other value indicates how many of them would be upgraded from green to yellow.
Stat 2 and skill 4 would be the same as stat 4 and skill 2: 2 greens, 2 yellows.
Stat 3 and skill 3: 3 yellows.
Stat 4 and skill 1 or stat 1 and skill 4: 3 greens and 1 yellow.
Sorry, the two came from a scenario that my group and I were encountering and I translated it onto my post without providing context. My bad. Thank you for the information!
