Rebellions Are Built On Hope - Tournament Report

By Captain Weather, in Star Wars: Legion

What are the card pouches you are using? We were talking about that exact thing at our League Night this week and they are exactly what some of us are looking for.

Good battle report. I am impressed to see all the armies were fully painted so soon after the release.

The are made by ultimate guard, they are made for x wing and come in two different sized sheets

Great report btw. Edit, found the sheets, thanks.

Good battle report, how did you select the scenario cards, or were they pre-selected?

Using the pick system from the rules - I just forgot to record which options we "killed" and when we passed and so on.

Those are some great looking tables!

Tremendous write-up. How do you remember all these details? Notes? Recording?

Great Battle Report thanks! Funny that your list is the exact same squad I was meaning to try out next. Looks like a lot of fun!

The photos I take are a pretty good visual reminder but otherwise it’s just all from memory. The one thing I do need to start writing down or taking photos of is the command cards each round. Cannot remember them to save my life.

It’s a very, very fun list and I think it has a good answer to most problems it can face. Just love that dang speeder!

Your reports are quite entertaining. I'm glad to hear the T-47 love.

Thank you! Glad to hear you're enjoying them, honestly they're good for me as well as they force me to reflect on my tournaments.

I absolutely love the T-47, I know it's not popular in a lot of circles but I really rate it. It's definitely a glass cannon, but objectives are everything in this game and its basically the only thing the Rebels have access to right now that can go hunt down something in the backfield.

I think those who have learned to fly small Rebel ships in Armada will more easily pick up the nuances of the T47. It seems to want to be flown similarly to a CR90 or Mc30. I've had succes using it almost kinda sorta like a Trailer as documented in @shmitty's classic article on the Steel Squadron website. More like a 'Strategic Reserve's unit that has been mentioned in several places.

Good comparison. I've had the T-47 win me games when I can save it for late in the match and use it to swoop in and finish something off. I've also had it get blown up on turn 2...

It is great in the Reserve role, but way too expensive to be used as a Reserve.

Yep, the cost is a killer. 50 points less and it'd be amazing.

The good one or the bad one? :D

The good ones.

Maybe some clarification for those not familiar with Armada. Small rebel ships in that game live and die by their positioning and timing. They need to dodge arcs and minimize the amount of fire they take. They are not Mc80 Cruisers that can stand toe to toe with an Imperial Star Destroyer and trade blows in a slugging match. This seems similar to me as a T47 facing an AT-ST, HH12, or lots of Rotary fire. You WILL NOT survive that weight of fire. You need to dodge it and strike when and where benefits you. Although learning that maneuvering and timing only comes from painful learning experience lol.

I'm going to keep plugging away at it, but we'll see how I go :P

thanks, for the write-up
