Party of three, anyone?

By Jorge69, in Painting

I have perused the Interwebz and have not found any, ahem, aftermarket detailing for our illustrious game. Any thoughts?

Please???

First up, your title/phrasing is a bit too clever to be useful when asking a question.

Litko makes appropriately sized clear bases, but no, probably not much else otherwise.

The game's hardly been out at all; it takes time for the Victoria Miniatures/Puppetswar/Kromlech dudes to decide they want to make anything. That being said the proportions are such that 40k weapon hands probably look ok on stormtroopers anyways.

My thoughts exactly

I'm too stupid to understand your post's title & meme.

Someone please explain.

Well. As many companies ask forum participants to refrain from mentioning other company's products , I thought it might be prudent not overtly asking if anyone has any news of third party add-ons like heads, arms and such for the miniatures.

Excuse me for trying not to offend our hosts.

Oh, I see.

Over on the X-wing Painting & Mods forum, we had a similar question.

A brief history: We had the painting threads taken away from us years ago because people were openly hawking their wares and so it was nixed. About a year ago, we were afraid of losing our forum because (at the time) there were a lot of people posting their 3D printed items either home-made and/or from places like Shapeways.

A question went out to FFG directly and they essentially said we may post our ships, from whatever source they were created. The line they drew was that the forums shouldn't be used as a place to sell things or advertise the sale of things directly. Does that make sense?

So if your original question was "Does anyone know of a 3rd party vendor that sells head-swaps for my Legion figures?" that wouldn't be a problem either to post the question or the answer whether or not specific vendors were mentioned in the discussion.

If someone's post was more like "I'm selling Head-Swaps for your Legion Figures" then that would be in question. FFG would possibly step in at that point and address the issue directly with the person posting by giving a warning, deleting the thread, etc. They are big boys and have handled this kind of thing before.

--------------------------------------

The long and short of it is: Feel free to talk about Legion related things and mention where you can buy or find things. Don't abuse the forums by advertising directly on them.

This, exactly. Thanks for understanding.
