So, just managed to get my first Stormtrooper squad mostly finished (need to apply the matte varnish coat tonight). I had considered doing something else with the bases, but one of my sons suggested it be neutral, given they could be fighting on all sorts of terrain.

Thanks, as many others here have, I followed tips from Sorastro. In my case, I combined stuff from his Legion and IA Stormtrooper videos, only I used a lighter wash than pure Nuln Oil. (It was about one part Nuln Oil and two parts Lahmian Medium)

So, have finished more Stormtroopers and a pair of speeder bikes now.
