Nebulon: What One Upgrade Slot Would You Add to Make it Competitive?

boosted doesnt have a trigger, it alters the core rule (distance in which the command can be used)

Expanded hanger bays is an alteration to a stat printed on the Card (sqnd command no.)

Edit - to be clear, when I say trigger I mean like having a symbol at the start of the cards text like sqn on Yavaris & Flight Controllers or the Crit on upgrades like NK7s

Wouldn't that invalidate fire control teams?

Crits already don’t, specific card excepted.

Off the top of my head, FC and RBD are the only one I’ve seen that’s legal right now.

Not so much as it is ALREADY banned and Fire control provides an exception.

I know that.

My point was that putting it as a rule in the book would do nothing - Fire Control would provide an exception to the rule via the golden rules set of exceptions....

And multiple things off the same command are rare, more likely it’s still multiple commands, even if the timing gets put together.

I dont understand the premise of this article as they are competitive. However the answer that no one has said yet is defensive retrofit for RBD or EWS, and offensive retrofit for boosted comms.

I dont understand why weapons team would be useful. You could take vet gunners I suppose

I agree, EWS would be great, and boosted comms for Yav would be amazing but could make it a lot stronger again by not having to maneuver so close to squads

the argument for weapon teams I suppose would be gunnery teams on salv, plus a spinal armaments for a meaty little ship indeed!

Myself, non-unique titles would be lovely, as they would be for CR-90s and Peltas IMO who I feel are hard done by only having 1 title at their disposal..

Apart from what Gink suggests upgrade slot wise, I don't think any off the others have value.. as said weapons teams is nice for the salv combo but it's useless apart from that pretty much like ordnance slots, could add ER to a Neb or add 2 black die out the front for salv again but rest of the cards useless

Summary: The question was orgianlly what makes the NEB competitive not what makes Yav/Salv better/worse, if we want to answer the original question it is defensive retrofit, it makes yav survive better with squads, makes salv better at skirting long range with red dice, makes redemption better at redeeming ships. Close 2nd is Offensive retrofits to enhance squadron role of all plain nebs & Yav

Another turbolaser. Might as well double down on that front arc.
