If games went up to 600 points...
Would you be able to take 3 flotillas?
If games went up to 600 points...
Would you be able to take 3 flotillas?
Yes, you should.
And if it was increased to 800 points then you should be allowed to bring 4.
I feel confident in saying yes.
I also feel confident in saying that the standard will never go to 600.
I feel confident in saying yes, too.
Actually, you may field 30 flotillas if you like. It's called casual play...

All you have to do is jam them up on a rock and you stand a chance with that fleet.
You may also try to ram the opposing flotillas to death...

Speed 0 before you get to the rock
The new flotilla rules only apply to tourneys.
If a 600 point fleet was a legitimate option, that build featuring a "Super Pickle" and as many transports as possible would be an unholy force in the casual scene.
Apparently we're rationing it to a floatilla per 200 points

I’m not.

if you want to play a game of 600 points then you could take 33 for all I care. The rules pertain to 400 point games because 400 points is the tournament standard where the rules matter. They "may" pertain to campaign play too because that's an "organized" form of play. If you walk outside, prop up an overturned dumpster and play a 600 point game on it no one cares what you field because it's your own game.
I still love you Crabbok, it's just dumb that people are so offended by the company putting in rules to try to balance their game. I own 6 imperial flotillas(it was a joke, i never actually got to fly it but my group has said they'd happily fly against it) and 4 rebel flotillas so it semi hurts me but I'm ecstatic to see actions taken in the name of game balance. Our goal should be the well being(our enjoyment) of the game, not the effectiveness of our gimmick fleets.
Steps off soapbox.

I'll note that 200 isn't 400 points either so I don't care if you want to field 11 flotillas in that list either. if it fits then fine. you're playing that game for fun, not competitively.
As a theoretical discussion of a potential 600 point format, 3 flotillas would be the logical extension.
Although personally I would take advantage of 600 points being a casual format to testbed one or two other potential flotilla limiting strategies; like the 1:1 rule for example.
1 flotillas for each 200 points, that's seem fair ![]()
Don't forget that we will maybe see some new flotillas in the next waves.
But... Are we ready to put the game at 600 points, that I'm less sure ![]()
Odds are good they're introducing the Dornean Gunship/Broha'tok Gunship as a combat flotilla next wave or two and the nerf was to prevent mass Dornean MSU fleets.
Hmm, 600 points. If I'm playing the Empire its 3 ISD with support.

If I'm playing the Empire, it's 5 ISD with no support. ![]()
how many flotillas did you guys buy exactly because I feel like some of you need help.
I don't own 30. ![]()
I can fit Vader and 10 Arquitens in a list then.
I just bought 2 on each side.
I was wondering for a third one by side... but now I think I will stay at 2 ![]()
Way to many people who can't play 400 points in 2 hours. No need to take the game to any more points till that happens.

I dislike slow people.
if games went up to 600 points.... how many people would bring 20+ TIE/LNs?

Not many... A Dengar/Howlrunner/Intercepter ball would eat most of them on turn 1. Especially when they face instakill just by attacking. Best bet is to use them as a wide scree to neutralize Intel.
I've tried max TIE/Ln a few times. It looks so beautifully theamatic on the table, but is also just as theamaticly ineffectual.

ah but 21 TIEs can have dengar & howlrunner with them..... ![]()
edit - also just moving them turn 1 should take about an hour so you move the laterally at the back and run the clock down ![]()
