How much converting do you plan on doing?

Putting Luke's head on a stormtrooper might be cheating, he wouldn't be tall enough.

LoS rules and such lol :P

Use an IA Stormie as they are shorter :)

I’ve already swapped a few heads and arms. I’ve also magnetized my AT-RTs.As more resources become available in the form of new minis and possible accessory pack I’ll likely do more.

Hi! Just started. Not painting yet. But having a skirmish game with 5 identical squads bugged me. So: I present you 35 different troopers. All troopers cut above the belt and interchanged. All officer arms repositioned. In the picture each column has identical legs, each row is a squad and each combination of body and legs is unique. Now for the rebels!

Love it, really makes them all unique and feels like a diverse army. That being said those rocket troopers must have abs of steel to absorb that recoil standing straight up with feet right next to each other lol

I haven't really been converting much. My main thing has been getting them painted and ready for duty on the tabletop...

The closest I've done is the AT-RT that I messed up with and swapped the leg pistons when positioning and got a rather interesting pose...

Thanks, and as far as recoil is concerned, would rocket recoil not be rather low and would not be the flame the problem? (As in: do not stand behind a rocket trooper?)

Yea, I guess that is true! Since it’s not a closed system all the gasses that cause recoil on a normal gun just escape out the back

Here is my WIP of my rocket launcher for my second squad.

Will look slightly better painted than it does green I'm hoping! No exhaust out the back, all the show out the front :)

That is awesome!!! I thought about making mine Episode 6 Luke - All black with a green saber.

I had the same idea but haven't done anything with it yet, great job.

Do you have a photos of the conversion? I'm guessing you used green stuff to make the helmet and chest piece along with gloves, and then cut off the arm pockets?

Miliput helmet, vest, chest computer, gloves... nothing removed from the model.

i tried adding the parachute style webbing, but with the stance it looked kinda wrong

Launchers generally have very low to no recoil depending on the system.
The German Panzerfaust 3 and russian RPG-7 for example fire their rockets using something similiar to an upsized rifle cardridge charge to propell them away from the shooter. Only then they ignite their rocket motors.
So there is some recoil when the initial charge is fired.
