It seems to me that when you deploy a ship with Raddus, you can set the speed dial to zero, but I wanted to see what the consensus was.

As per the FAQ, during the "deploy ships" step you cannot set a ship's speed to zero.

Q: During the “Deploy Ships” step of setup, can a player set his or her ship’s speed to “0”?

A: No.

But, when you deploy with Raddus, we are not in the "Deploy Ships" phase. Thus, it seems to me that you can set a ships speed to zero when deploying with Raddus.

you Are following the deployment Rules and steps except as modified.

ergo you must set a speed available on the speed chart, right?

0 is a legal speed to go, but it’s not on the chart... that’s why you can’t set it at deployment.

si you can’t deploy at speed 0 by your own violition .... G7 is a whole other matter.

Remember what you quoted is a clarification based on a single case, not all cases — the rule applies as this is a “deployment “
