Official Solo Trailer! [Not Teaser]
Looks like a Star Destroyer under construction at 3-4 seconds into the trailer.
I remain disappointed they went with an Imperial-class ship for this, rather than Victory-class. We're kind of running out of chances to see a Victory on-screen...

You can wait until the cows come home, you’ll probably never see the VSD on screen. Its one of those ships that will only exist in the books and games.
But then again there’s alway hope......:)

Heck, we got the West End Games Dreadnought (more or less) in a blink-and-you-miss-it-scene in the finale of 'Rebels', so one can always hope...
Ok... this actually looks pretty good. Last trailer made it look like hot garbage, this actually looks like a movie I want to go see.
Expectations are still far below what I had for rogue 1, but it looks fun. And that is REALLY what I want out of a Solo movie anyway.
I had zero hope for Rogue One going in and was blown away. I'm going into this with even less hope. Maybe that'll be justified maybe i'll be blown away.
Either way at least this is the lens I prefer seeing Star Wars through rather then say, Rebels.
Did anyone catch the AT-ST landing from a jump in there? Pretty cool if you ask me.
Regardless of my low (seriously, it's low) view of the current trilogy, I really, really liked Rogue One, and I'm seriously hopeful for this movie too now that I have seen this trailer. It looks gritty and snarky, which is what I expect from a young Han Solo. Even my wife is excited.

Its almost an AT-ST but the head is all wrong. The legs are the same though.

I didn't pause, just thought that's what it was.

And it had some kind of, like, TIE Fighter panels on its sides. Much larger guns than an AT-ST, and in a fixed mount nearer the top of its body.
Looks like Mallatobuck is gonna be canon.
Edit: whoops, she already was. Never mind.

Yeah the feet also looks different from the standard AT-ST. Mostly likey a modified varied for operations in muddy environment on Mimban.
The Mimban sequence is looking quite cool. My speculation is that this is Han during his time under Imperial service and where he meets Baccket and possibly Chewbacca.
Give me anything in the Galactic Civil War era.
That's the best stuff (Rebels, RO, ANH, ISB and ROTJ)
I do like the rest but I will not be sad if FFG refuse to put prequel (Galactic Republic or Separatist) and sequel (FO and Resistance) ship in Armada.
The Venator (because there is so much demand) could be the last one from the prequel that I could accept because the timeline can fit, but nothing older.
There is so much ship not reveal yet for the Galactic Civil War era.
Like some others I have little in the way of expectations for this. I hope it's fun and a good two hour sit down. One problem, is anyone really worried for Chewie in that last cut on the train? I mean I hope he makes it ?. That's the problem with this movie. Rogue One everyone felt like all the Rebels had to die but didn't think Disney would have the guts to do it. That helps give Rogue One that wholly crap feel. Plus we had cameos in Rogue One like the guys from the bar and Red and Gold leader. I wonder what cameos we will get here?
I don't want R2 and C-3PO shoehorned into this, also no Lightsabers, both made sense for Rogue One but neither makes sense for this movie.
I bet we do see Jabba and Boba Fett though.
Rogue One is my favorite Disney Star Wars movie by a good margin, if Solo falls somewhere between it and EP7 and EP8 in my rankings I'll be pleased.
Don't worry, he's in the movies.
My hope is that Solo rounds out the early part of the Imperial timeline with a solid story and atmosphere and creates a chronological streak of great movies.
Revenge of the Sith -> Solo -> Rogue One -> A New Hope -> The Empire Strikes Back
That being said Solo only needs to be decent.
Can we just have a heist film in the star wars universe without the main cast? Okay maybe Lando. Lando movie please.
I feel like this could be a really good movie if this was another smuggler. Maybe Dash. idk. My expectations are low.
Hype is the path to the Dark Side, Hype leads to expectations, expectatons lead to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.
looks good. will go see it when it comes out.
Looks more promising then the previous one. I hope there will be a scene where his dl-44 blaster gets stuck in the holster, and he later saws it off(at least this happened in books).
Looking even better.
yet another action movie that youths like so well in the opinion of filmmakers? this one just in space, thats all. yeah, I expect some funny dialogue, and its there, but I could so do without those action trailers, simply not teased by boom and bang.
So, looking forward to Lando and Chewie. Han? Doesnt look intriguing at all.
Much better trailer than the last one for sure.
Will it bomb? No, will it be a fantastic Star Wars movie, eeeehhhh.
Will it be a fun movie? I believe it will be.

I think it comes with the budget demands. "Space/SciFi" movies still tend to be fairly expensive to make, and 'thinky' movies remain lower revenue-generating than 'action' movies, so to recoup the budget of making the film...
