Still not sold on the main lead... but the movie looks better than expected.

Also chewies wife and leebo appear to be back in canon now, nice.

Sorry to disappoint you. It is L3-37. They even say its name in the trailer. ;)

Some notes

From 1978, Mimban predates Hoth, Bespon, the Moon of Endor, and was been the inspiration for Dagobah.

I’m excited for its inclusion back into Canon.

The double-sided train is known as ‘the Conveyex.’

The Aurebesh writing below them spells out ‘Hitch Joint.’

Hitch Point, actually, which makes more sense :P I looked it up when the first trailer came out.

This looks pretty good. I'm game for a SW heist movie.

@beardxofxdeath

I think @FlyingAnchors may mean Malla and Lumpawaroo are Canon because of the Aftermath novels, which they appear in.

It would be lovely for Malla to be the Wookiee in this scene, if Han not only saves Chewie but his whole family, then the Canonical Life Debt is given more meaning.

If Lumpawaroo is not in this scene then perhaps a pregnant Malla ☺️

It's not Leebo, the droid is called L3-37.

Yes.

Eh, close enough.

Some other observations,

We see a Mandalorian credit among the coins at the gambling table.

Those are definitely swoops in the shots of the heist.

We see the Falcon’s single laser cannon in action.

The weaponized brass knuckles share a little bit of tech with a special forces weapon created for West End Games.

There seems to be a Sith Holocron in the same scene as Han is battling with those vibro brass knuckles.

I love how Chewie ONE handedly picks up a full grown man and body slams him down. HARD.

While we have a very little of it, I do like the dialogue we have been given.

I found some of it a little forced, but I can live with it. It wouldn't be a heist movie without wisecracking.

Scum falcon added to Wave 14 in 3.... 2.... 1....

I was thinking of this when we first saw the Falcon leaked - how would we further differentiate each ship?

Difference in armament, sure.

One of the less obvious ways, Han’s OT version maybe even faster than the one we see in Solo , but the Scum ship would be more maneuverable.

Reasoning, Han relies on his skill for tricks, and gives up manuverabilty for raw speed, while the earlier Falcon could be made more agile to help its pilot pull off stunts that become routine for the older veteran Han.

Different guns. I'm expecting it to maybe have a 4 primary out the front and a title allowing it to fire out of arc with fewer dice.

The docked mini-ship between the mandibles, probably a ghost/phantom-style mechanic.

I wish I had the height and cheekbones to Cosplay Dryden Vos, I’m liking his outfit.

Never trust trailers ffs green lantern should of taught you all that.

People thought the Green Lantern trailers were good?!

The 2nd one yes it had a darker tone and people let themselves get hyped.

Earlier this year I thought downsizing looked interesting, then I read the reviews.

Disney is hoping and praying people don't wait for reviews and go to see it opening night, play it smart wait for critics you trust to give a verdict.

I really like this trailer. Also seems like this movie is going to give us a lot of great designs in generel.

While I do get what you are saying, I make my own judgements and I feel that you cannot judge a film until you see it for yourself. Especially since I don't always agree with even the critics I trust or other people.

I liked the Last Jedi and while I was concerned about Solo, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't see the film.

I learned not to trust trailers with Revenge of the Sith. I remember that trailer being just outstanding, and I was so happy that we might actually get a movie that wasn't terrible. Oh, to have that youthful innocence again...

That being said, though, this trailer did its job, which is basically make people want to see the movie. Maybe the movie won't be any good, but I'm sure I'll go and find out for myself at least.

I would love for the Star Destroyer being built to be the Avenger , which the Falcon piggy Yoda backs on in The Empire Strikes Back .

Wasn't the Avenger an ISD II though? The Bridge/command tower looked more like the ISD I model. I guess it could have been refitted to the new standard, but I can't recall that having been done to other SDs before, in canon or the EU.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA - those same critics who near unanimously said Ruin Johnson's The Least Jedi was the best thing sincerely sliced bread?

Current Canon, the Avenger is an Imperial Class , in Legends she is both called an Imperial I and II .

Interestingly her name is an homage to the World War II Grumman Torpedo Bomber Avenger .

Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back identifies the Avenger as the Star Destroyer that launched the Viper probe droid that discovered Echo Base. This appears to have been based on dialogue between Captain Needa and a subordinate that did not make the final cut of the the radio dramatization of TESB. However, the Star Wars Customizable Card Game later contradicted this, as did the Star Wars Encyclopedia which identify the Stalker as the Star Destroyer holding this distinction. Further adding to the confusion, Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary also identifies the Avenger launched the probe droid.

Attempting to clarify the discrepancy, The Essential Atlas states that both ships were responsible for deploying probe droids, though does not state with absolute certainty which ship is seen in the film.

Star Wars: Behind the Magic also identifies the Avenger as the Star Destroyer that launched Vader's shuttle at the beginning of Return of the Jedi , and remains Canon.
