I will make my own with sabacc and Twi'lek Dancers...

By Ace_of_Spades, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Hello Guys!

As i promised :) i tried to bring Twi'lek dancer-s to IA boards.

My main concept was that they need to function as distraction or eye candy.

I thought about restriction that they affect only male characters but i think we will have problems assuming the gender of non human species.

I am insecure with the definition how it is working. So if you can help me to make it more "by the book" i realy apriciate it.

Companions do not block line of sight. I don't think Distraction says what you want it to say. (Should "can" be "must"?)

Thank you a1bert for the fast help ;)

While the idea, I assume you're trying to make, seems fun, if it simply gave the Distraction ability in the same and adjacent spaces (such as Threepio does) this would be a solid 1 point upgrade for say Jabba. Ie for 1 point, I'd get an Evade for big group of figures and this companion would be tough to kill (as you need anti-dodge).

They should be negative points if you defeat them

Ha! Could be a Jabba "Fix" since Jabba appears to be a little less favored than the RCP. So a -1 point upgrade that gave the Threepio-effect would be a cool way to "force" the RCP out of the Scum arsenal. Then perhaps they could errata Gideon to be Rebel figures (as would make sense).

If I understand you correctly, I agree. The other team would get -1 victory point for shooting one, yes? If so that's a good idea for skirmish. I also don't think they should have the Cam droids automatic dodge. If it were me, I give them a white dice and an extra dodge.

Yeah. I'm not sure they should be companions honestly. Make them a figure group 2 to a group, 2-3 health each 2 points per group but unique (no spamming) no attack white die defense but no evade

They can block LOS bit when defeated the opponent loses a victory point

Thank you for all the great feedbacks.

I realy liked the -1 VP idea for shooting one of them.

btw i want to keep them as companions and test out the LOS forcing mechanic.

If i will find it comoplicated i maybe change it to C3PO's distractiion.

I think i should change the name to attract atention for prevent collision

How about wording it like: "When performing [ranged] attacks, hostile figures with line of sight to Twi'Lek Dancers must target them."

basicly i dont want them to be targeted. i just want them to modify the LOS

Oh, sorry. What about something a little simpler? Something about if you trace line of sight through the slave, then the attacker gets -2 Accuracy instead?

Something like: You cannot attack if one of your lines of sight isn't traced trough this figure?

There is a mechanic already in the game for line of sight blocking which i'm very disappointing they didn't bring over to skirmish: Shield tokens. Those would have been cool to see in the game. They could have used a command card, or say have a skirmish version for sentry droids to drop them. I think they missed a cool opportunity with those.

I guess I could see how they'd be really popular (especially with sniper lists) but this is the first I've heard that skirmish didn't get to use those. That's disappointing.

HOTS comes with so many shield tokent- it'd be cool to have a map where each player could deploy shields anywhere they wanted in their starting area before the game.

It’s not that skirmish “can’t” use them. It’s that there isn’t anything bringing them in yet. No characters or cc’s. I don’t think any of the HotE maps reference shield tokens but I haven’t read them all.

Some day there will probably be shield tokens in some skirmish Stuff.

they are used in the 4 player skirmish for HotE. I was hoping some of the missions from this wave would use them, but yeah, the mechanic could easily be in play going forward.

"In fact, forget the park!"

I really like this idea. Cool concept! I'm not sure mechanically what is best but I do like the negative points for killing them.
