Re-design any 1 ship of your choosing

I'd want to update the poor E-wing. Not sure exactly what to do, lowering the cost seems lazy. Maybe make it more action efficient like a Vader ability or title that grants a focus when you evade.

The current Vaksai title would be great. Make all the upgrades equipped 1 point cheaper.

I really have no earthly clue why some think a 4-die VT-49 (which is currently only 5 points more than the VCX) would be a good idea, especially given how viable Cheri already is

forgot my other favorite ship, which doesn't need nearly as much help as the Punisher but has been rendered obsolete by the goddamn sheathe

already made a thread on how easy it would be to buff it via errata, but hey

1.) Add Epts for Braylen and Thane

2.) Braylen's ability removes a stress after executing a maneuver (as opposed to having to roll a die, which sucks)

3.) Thane can take a free action after an enemy in his firing arc at range 1-3 attacks (even if he's the target)

4.) When another friendly ship at range 1-2 is attacking a ship that Shara has target-locked, it may re-roll one attack die

5.) Norra is absolutely a-okay. Thumbs up!

Medium base is left-right for appropriate ships: ARC, Punisher, Silencer, Slave 1.

Medium base is front-back for appropriate ships: U-wing, G-1A, HWK (maybe?),

Aggeerssors (IG88) can be set up either way.

I think it goes outside the rules of this thread, but! If we'd make mobile arc a thing from Wave 2, we should make "gunner" a keyword that lets you move the mobile arc as a free action. And then "gunner" can be added to a bunch of existing crew cards. For instance Crew!Chewie should get that keyword, and it would add a nice bit of decision making to spending him.

TIE Advanced: I'd give a 1 point drop across the board to everyone but Vader. I'd change the X1 title text to "If you equip a (system) upgrade, its squad point cost is reduced by 4 (to a minimum of -2)." Vader would still cost as much, but you'd be able to put 5 Autocorrector Tempest pilots on the board.

B-Wing: I'd like to change the E2 mod to a) add an extra shield and b) let you take another mod up to 2 points. I'd like to create a (free) title that would let you spend 1 shield token to not be assigned a card from the damage deck. This would- as long as they have shields- let them avoid any directly to the hull damage shenanigans.

Actually, these two posts are about the only thing that actually is a redesign.

The rest of it is the usual buff/nerf that adds nothing new to the game.

And since I finally added my 2c, I would give the E-Wing a Range 4 primary attack and the TIE Punisher 2 missile/torp shots per round. I do like the idea up thread of about dropping a torp slot and giving the Punisher an EPT slot.

Failing new mechanics, I think the TIE Interceptor would be a good ship to retcon the Bullseye Arc onto.

There are so many broken turret, multi-upgrade pilots

I would do a couple things, first make the TIE Fighter Academy Pilot only cost 10 but have skill 0. These things should be a true light Swarm. And we need to bring swarms back in the game, could probably dock a couple points off the A-Wing and Interceptor too.

Give the Punisher Reinforce

And then take away the remaining upgrade slots on the Jumpmaster and make all of its maneuvers Red and increase the generics cost to 50, and if it still wasn't enough then nuke it from orbit, because it's the only way to be sure.

Balance restored.

One of the ships that wasn't mentioned too much is the Interceptor.

Stats: Unchanged
Dial: Add Speed 3 talons instead of 3 K.
Upgrade bar: Unchanged
Gains a bulls eye firing arc

Titles

Royal guard: +1 Shield, You may treat your speed 1 turns as green. PS6+ 2 pts
Bloodstripes: You may equip a second, different ept. PS4+ 0 pts

Mods:

Chin cannon: TIE Interceptor only. When attacking a target at Range 1-2, inside your bullseye firing arc, you may perform that attack twice. You may equip 1 additional Modification upgrade that costs 2 or fewer squad points. 3 pts

Modular Warhead launchers: TIE Interceptor only. Your upgrade bar gains the [missile] icon. Your action bar gains the [target lock] action. 0 pts

Pilots:

Kir Kanos gets an EPT

LT. Lorrir: When performing a barrel roll action, you may use the [Turn Left 1] or [Turn Right 1] template instead of the [Straight 1] to roll. (so that he is actually unique, not just a cheaper StarViper)

Fel's Wrath: When the number of Damage cards assigned to you equals or exceeds your hull value, you may immediately perform an an attack.

+1 to Kir Kanos EPT and X-wing barrel roll (I'd redesign the X-wing because it affects more pilots).

It was pointed out to me that I accidentally wrote defence instead of agility, and I cop to that.

I've often thought a medium (rectangular) base would be awesome. Especially if the movement template pegs weren't always centered. Like for the YV's or the JM5Ks.

Banks and Turns would be different lengths depending on which way you were going leading to some interesting placements

TIE/D: reduce the cost to -2 like TIE/x7

Crossfire Formation: Allow it to work on attack rolls in addition to defense rolls

Advanced Homing Missile: Change its range to 3 and completely re-write the text to: "Discard this card to attack one enemy ship (even one outside of your firing arc)."

Bomblet Generator: Make it a double sided card that requires some sort of cost to flip over, like an action or receiving a weapons disabled token. Something to add some sort of strategic decision to it instead of just being able to always drop a bomb without having to think about it.

Krennic (unreleased): Add the following to 'Optimized Prototype': "If you do not have an <EPT> icon on your upgrade bar you may equip one <EPT> upgrade with a squad point cost of 3 or less for free." Basically makes a whole swath of terribad early Imperial pilots usable again (Kir Kanos, Lt. Lorrir etc.)

Advanced Targeting Computer: Take away the text that stops you from spending the target lock to re-roll your attack dice. It really wouldn't break Vader since he really wants to use at least one action to reposition each round and then focus or evade. For all the other pilots their lack of action efficiency would prevent it from being too good.

Black One: Reduce the cost to 0 and make it so that the title only functions if you are not in the enemy's firing arc. Not only does this make thematic sense but it also allows counter play instead of PS 11 Poe just always shutting down Ordnance lists and ATC Vader.
