To explain: Yeah, the bars are from announcement of the wave until release date.

Pretty neat.

You can see how badly Armada was hit after wave 2!

I thought wave 5 was before January. Released that is.

Edit: Wave 6 announced in march as well.

December 22nd for release.

If somebody's got a more accurate listing of dates when FFG announced and released different waves, let me know.

On the FFG website? They have release articles for nearly every wave as well as announcements. The only one I had trouble looking for was the wave 5 release.

I knew it was before January then I found this article stating it would be released a week after the article was posted. Given releases are on Thursday, the 22nd of Decemeber was the choice. It could have been the 29th as well though.

I remember It was the 22nd, because they JUST got it out for Christmas, and legal for the Calgary Regional on Jan 8th, because then there was the 11+ day waiting period.

Just scroll down and down and each wave is displayed with announcement/release dates (taken from the FFG webpage).

Someone needs to alter the original image so that there is a black bar that stops and restarts about 6 times from the date just after the Core was released, all the rest way across the top of the graph until now. Each black section is labelled "Armada is dead". ;)

feel like updating this to include the void inbetween wave 7's release and now ?

For us newcomers, could someone explain the significance of the Tianjin explosion and its impact on Armada releases? I'm aware it was a factory fire, but not much more than than. Seems like an interesting story there.

It impacted FFGs production and distribution. All their product is made in China.

Thanks. So did it delay the release of Wave 2, or was the impact of the fire not felt until Wave 3?

With the news about Asmodee, I wouldnt be surprised if during the transition time each project had to deal with some kind of internal shenanigans and all PR/Announcements were put on hold.

Could be anything from internal product & profiability review to changing the manufacturer or the design process itself.

Is there some news about asmodee I missed?

6 months later, anyone feel like updating this timeline? (insert thread necro reference)

Someone's clearly got that bored-at-work Friday feeling...

PS: Kudos to @Nostromoid for original artwork, any mistakes my own blah, blah, blah (unless, of course, they're his).

So it was almost a whole year between the announcement of w7 & the SSD!? ?

Dang.

This is... depressing.

Well, my wallet doesn't much mind.
