Stripping Paint

By guest450670, in Painting

Hey, does anyone know which products it's safe to use to strip paint from legion models, without damage?

Thanks

On X-wing and Imperial Assault models I've used Simple Green without any issue. I would imagine Legion figs would be OK too.

Just dunk the model in a jar full of the juice for at least an hour if the paint is relatively fresh. Scrub the fig with an old toothbrush and rinse with fresh water. You may need to use a toothpick to clean some of the finer details.

Be REALLY mindful ...

Of the time left in Simply Green. Totally works. Just don’t leave for 2-3 days.

With the pressure applied via toothbrush. Suggestion ... warm, running water in junction with the tooth brush. Model in and out of the water, while scrubbing.

From experience too long in Simply Green will effect the plastic. Scrubbing too hard will scratch the model.

Slow and soft ... you’ll be fine

Long ago I didn't learn about using LA's Totally Awesome until after buying Simple Green, but it is supposed to work just as well an found at your local dollar shop:
