okay so lets say a minstrel has charmed an ape,,and then becomes a toad,,,can anyone pick up the ape,,and add its total strength to yours during battle?

No, only the minstrel can charm animals.

We have 2 different rules for this.

A member on the forums said that John Goodenough said, that if the Minstrel change to a toad, then the animals are discarded.

The old rule is that if animals followers are ditched on the space then they become normal enemies again.

So you can choose which rule you like the most.

I play with the old rule, because it makes the most sense.

what about the ghoul and his followers??

Same deal for all those special Followers, Ghoul, Ogre Chieftain, Necromancer.

okay gotcha,,,so what happens to the followers if lets say for instance the ghoul draws the Hag?

What about for instance in the Vampire Tower, can a follower acquired in this manner be killed there instead of "a normal" follower? And the werewolfcard (can't remember it's name, but where one follower turns out to be a werewolf) and other similiar things? And the sorceress, can she steal one from the minstrel?

The wording "follower" seems so strange to me, if they can't. Couldn't they be called "minions" or something similar instead?

You can offer them at the Vampire tower if you want.

They can also be changed in a werewolf ( same as a normal followers)

Characters cannot steal those special followers from each other. The special followers are only for the character themself.
