Worlds 2018: Should new FAQ be used?

By Thraug, in Star Wars: Armada

Should the changes in the new FAQ be used? I know it's very close to Worlds 2018, but now that the FAQ is released I have lost quite a bit of interest in watching/following the event (I'm not going). I wish this wasn't the case, but without the rules that will be used in the future, the matches really don't have the same impact on my viewing/following pleasure. Anyone else feel this way?

The best players are always the ones that can roll with changes, be they FAQ or meta, the quickest. I feel this would be a great opportunity to see new builds on the biggest stage, like you see at a Magic pro tour for a new set release (sorry MtG haters).

What are you on about? It will be used

FAQ goes into effect over a week prior to the tournament. Those will be the rules there. FFG doesn't violate its own policies (and get caught doing it anyway).

I don't want to see GHY+3 or fish farms in the top 4.

FAQ and Tournament Regs become official April 23rd. Worlds starts May 2nd. All lists will have to be in compliance with the new documents. We'll see plenty of variety I'm sure.

I...expected this thread to be...different.

if it won't be used, World's will be the same joke it was last year.

Is this whole thread some sort of elaborate prank? The FAQs and the new tournament regulations are all in force for Worlds.

Whoah, I had the wrong dates, thanks. All is good, popcorn ready!

I think the only reason they should use the new FAQ is if they end up playing Armada.

This is a very silly thread full of double negatives and 3 lefts making a right.

I would highly recommend players abide by the new regulations and FAQ for worlds, otherwise they won't be playing in worlds.

See that I just did it myself...

I think the REAL question is, "should wave 7 be legal at Worlds?"

My MSU-loving heart says no. Clearly this is the fairest option, in that it benefits me.

Wave 7 really is the "make large ships great again" wave.
