I mean, technically a GR-75 with Flight commander and rapid launch bays is only 27 points. It can carry 2 B-wings. You can take up to two of them. I've seen it done before, not particularly well, mind, but done nonetheless.

The list I ran at Regionals two years ago was a Pelta (AFFM and FCTs) with three Bwings and Ten Nunb. I performed decently well, but also didn't have Yavaris. When I swapped Yavaris into that list last summer, it did pretty well.

B-Wings used to be terrifying. Then they took a nerfbat in the knee.

I've been gone for a while, but Yavaris Bs have been my jam since before they could be pushed about for free.

From what I've read, you can still Relay Yavaris out. You could also have another ship push them for Yavaris before she activates

You could also experiment with Rapid Launch bays, some jank ive always wanted to try before I stopped playing, though you probably won't Yavaris them. Load them up on a Mon cal command with flight commander and then just fart them out on top of the enemy,

Course you could do this with an assault frigate or something, but the Defiance gets you like 15 dice in a single activation

TBH I'd buff the speed of the B-wing and increase the points by 2 per ship.

The Y-wing would get a speed nurf to 2, and decrease in points.

I think the Scurrg is great! I too am somewhat surprised by their apparent lack of popularity. I like them best mixed with Y-wings as well. I really want to like B-wings more, but having to pull some shenanigans to overcome their ridiculous speed of 2 doesn't usually compliment the way I typically play.

Plus, getting only one in a pack probably discourages most casual players, who probably opt to only buy one Rogues and Villains pack.

B-wing can still be moved with several different upgrades. They're also a great way to control an area of the map. Like contested outpost. Or dropped off by RLB.

Its just so lame that any fighter/bomber is slower then the slowest big ship in the game.

I can think of a couple of fleets in which B-wings will still be great. I think one of the big advantages I have is that I was in the game during wave-2 when @Truthiness inspired a lot of people with one of the first major B-wing MC80 lists. The core of that hasn't gone away. And I think JJ's Y_wing spam at Worlds with no Yavaris should really open our eyes to the fact that some kind of well-played generic spam list ought to have the potential. Think MC80, Pelta with AFFM, and then the rest of your list. It is doable.

B wings are not dead they are just now harder to use with Yvaris now.
