Just To Be Sure...

By MasterShake2, in Star Wars: Armada

FFG was hunched over furiously hammering a nail into a coffin. The nameplate "Gallant Haven, Yavaris + 3" was finely engraved on the pine box. He picked himself up and gazed up his works, but could only shake his head in disapproval. He picked up another nail and neatly placed it on the coffin before driving it home with the urgency of a man possessed.

He reviewed his work and nodded resolutely before picking up a steel band. He fixed the band around the coffin, hammering it tight around the wood frame, then proceeded to weld it place. He carefully inspected the weld before nodding in approval and reaching for a pair of leaden weights and hardened steel chain .

He wrapped the chain around the coffin, looping it through slits in the weights and cinching it as tight as his strength would allow before securing it in place with the finest of locks. He took his welding torch in hand and melted the key into the lock rendering the lock unusable. He carefully inspected his works for imperfections.

When he was satisfied his work was complete, he leaned down and took a firm grip on a tow cable. He wound the cable tightly around the coffin and gave it a firm tug to ensure it wouldn't come loose before walking to a waiting helicopter. As the helicopter gently lifted off, the tow cable grew taught before finally carrying the coffin into the sky.

As the helicopter hovered majestically over the sea, FFG pressed the release for the tow cable. The coffin hung in mid air briefly before starting its rapid descent. It was a testament to the fine craftsmanship of the coffin that it survived the impact with the stirring sea below and suffered no damage.

As the helicopter flew off into the sunset FFG donned a pair of polarized sunglasses. Off in the distance behind the helicopter a sudden flash erupted followed by the distinct shape of a mushroom cloud. Nuking it from orbit really was the only way to be sure.

...but for real, that **** got JumpMastered...

They sent it to the bottom of the ocean like a decepticon.

It's interesting that it was one of the few archetypes that has survived through multiple years. Could be FFG saying go play something else.

Very well done @MasterShake2. I hope not the case as I have collected for a while and just started playing

Yeah but the Decepticons wrought havoc from the bottom of the Ocean. They’d send up that stupid periscope, and rob like a hydroelectric ****, and then Optimus Prime would show up and be all like;

“Megatron! I should have known!”

and Bumblebee would say

“Wait you mean you didn’t? How did you not?! Its literally always him! You know what, your lack of pattern recognition may be why we’re stuck in this endless cycle of violence”

and Optimus would say

”Shut your mouth you yellow-*** volkswagen looking b*tch or I’ll have Ratchet turn your alt-mode into a Pinto”

and meanwhile the Decepticons were wondering if they should maybe get involved but said nah, f*ck it and flew off with the energonz

I don't think the changes killed GH+Y+3...well maybe specifically the +3 part to become +2. Yavaris and GH are still really powerful titles in skilled hands.

Math-wise, with last-first. I believe an Imperial alpha strike will now kill a significant number of critical units in the fighter ball of a 2+2. A RS quasar will now be very very good at it.

Previously trading 300 points to kill Y+GH would result in a loss, now it is a significant win.

Worlds and the play testing leading up to it will tell all, but I think 2+2 will have less favorable matchups, and will actually have unfavorable ones.
